It's a shame. Everything he said was factual, reasonable, and measured. But of course that's not what this country wants right now. It wants us to pretend that one side is orcs and the other side is elves.

Like most of how Gandalf flexes power in The Lord of the Rings, it’s not about magic, but about politicking. The giant eagles of Middle-earth aren’t beasts to tame, like Shadowfax; they have their own society and concerns. And just like literally everyone else in the story, it takes a lot of work to get them to care about all this Dark Lord stuff until it affects them directly. The eagles can’t carry the Fellowship to Mordor because Gandalf can’t simply summon a squadron of birds to divebomb Mount Doom.

Hence Palestinians are SOL (until the fascist Orcs are challenged).

Hamas is literally orcs though. Not Palestinians, but Hamas. And they aren't on the side of Palestine, they're on the side of Iran.

    At least they gave a warning. Hamas just invaded and launched rockets. If Palestinians truly want peace and to have a voice, they should not only force the release of all hostages but also turn over Hamas to the Israelis. If Israel still proceeds with the ground war, so be it. They are what their opposition says they are.

    Also, notice that no other Arab countries are accepting Palestinians. Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon - no one is rushing to their aid outside other terrorist groups (e.g. Hezbollah), and none of these countries are throwing out the welcome mat.

    I feel for the Palestinian people, I truly do, but every time they get to a negotiating table, their leadership refuses to budge on their "destroy Israel" stance. That's not how diplomacy works and they need to understand that Israel is not going anywhere.

    I hate those anchors so as far as I can figure it, this Israel vs Palestine thing has a lot of positives. Could turn for the worse but so far its a win in my book.

    Israel is historically Jewish territory according to the Bible and certain interpretations of contemporaneous archeology:

    Joshua entered the land of Israel in 1400BC .

    The kingdom of David was found around 1,000BC.

    The Temple of Solomon was built in approximately 957BC.

    The 2nd Temple was built in approximately 550BC.

    The Hasmonean dynasty was founded in 166BC.

    Jerusalem was destroyed in 70BC and the Jews exiled from Israel in
    136CE after the defeat of the Bar Kokhba revolt.

    The Romans in an attempt to shame the Jews, renamed the area Palestine as an insult after the Jews historic enemies the Philistines...

    Even during the exile, there was continuous Jewish presence in the land.

    Islam, which is the religion of the Palestinian Arabs, was not even founded until the 7th Century CE or AD.
    No independent Arab state has ever existed in the area known as Palestine.

      Most religions talk about the importance of charity (including Islam), and it is my opinion if that if more people of religion would focus on charity and feeding the hungry, they wouldn't have time for fighting.
