Imagine how much that man was jonesing for some soy sauce and wasabi.

Was there any mention of why he could not communicate or call for help? The comments below the story say he should have had a radio. He is even photographed in front of radio equipment, but it may have been on the rescue ship.
"Why would you make a voyage like that with no means of communicating?"
What most men have forgotten is that even without electronics we are always able to communicate in the spirit.
Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Maybe he lost his antennae in the storm or the radio was otherwise damaged, I'm not sure.

Another dog shit "news" article. Absolutely full if superfluous bullshit about castaway, and devoid of journalism.
Zero info on how his vessle was damaged, why he didn't have an emergency radio. How much food and water he actually had with him.
In fact there are a lot of lies they are pushing. The picture shows that he was rescued from his boat. They intentionally make it sound like he was drifting on a 2x4 surviving on fish. Absolute fucking ballocks. That's modern news for you.
Pure garbage and lies.
Then they mention how he survived cancer by fasting, but word it all deceptively to imply that the fasting caused the cancer instead of curing it.

Here's another article. Is it great? No, it's Daily Mail. But it does contain a few more details, seems to exaggerate his situation less. "Shaddock said he had been well-provisioned, but a storm knocked out his electronics and ability to cook." No mention of drinking rainwater.

I'm all for feel-good "man and his best friend survive the impossible" stories but you are right, that's a shit-tier "article".
