The disgust isn't Christian. It's just normal old people being normal old hateful. Then lying to themselves about it to try to feel better about themselves.

Sexual perversion is disgusting. A man who lies with another man, as a normal man would with a woman, is an abomination. What sexual deviants do is disgusting. To be disgusted by sin is right and is not hatred for the person himself. We have all done some disgusting things in this life, and as the Bible tells us, we have all come short of the glory of God. We have all sinned. Sin is disgusting because it leads to death. Death is not something to be desired. But thanks be to God for his sacrifice that cleanses us from all sin, through Jesus on the cross, so that we may inherit eternal life.

1) I fail to see what this says about outing a vulnerable trans kid. Or anything about transexuality. It seems to be an (awkwardly stated) admonition against homosexual sex.

2) Most of what is in Leviticus 18 makes sense from a genetic diversity perspective. The only weird ones are verses 19 and 22. (Although 21 seems unlikely and out of context). But if you want to buy into that as law, do you also buy into the laws in the surrounding chapters? 17 is pretty clear that you should not eat blood, and must drain any blood from an animal beforehand. Do you follow that as vehemently as you hate gays, or are you picking and choosing what biblical verses you follow based on what you personally feel about them?

God does not hate sexually perverted people, and neither do I. I have had friends and family that confessed to being so. Jesus died for all, and if they will repent, they can be forgiven, just as I was forgiven for my sins.

Children have an 80% chance of beating it through puberty. We cannot simply assume that what is true for a grown adult is true for a prepubescent child.

You are blinded. Even in your quote, "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind," you cannot justify anything you've just said. As with womankind, not wholly. The clever choice of words and placement of the comma makes this more ambiguous; but do not be misled, because the actual wording is quite clear: "And with a male you shall not lie a woman's lyings." Even early moderns understood that this is sodomy, not gay. Being gay doesn't mean you have literal butt sex. And with the way Hebrew works, it could even be telling married men not to fuck men (the logic being that his lyings belong to his wife).

This only became about gays when the counter-cultural 1960s hippies turned hostile towards Christianity and supported the sexual revolution, because both were against the current culture. This caused Christians to associate gay with the enemy, and it's been war ever since. But in truth, the woke crowd only pretends to care about them for virtue signaling.
