That's because pot is no more exempt from the laws of economics and supply and demand than any other commodity. It's really not hard to comprehend: they only "legalized" it so they could extort protection money from the industry while making it harder for those who aren't already rich to start a business. The Italians muscled their way in just like they did with liquor and they did it to keep Blacks and Mexicans out, as per usual.

Apparently, black wealth is much easier to obtain by selling suckers with no investment capitol on unrealistic business opportunities in massively regulation burdened markets.
