It's also been demonstrated that opioid addiction isn't caused by opioids. Addicts are addicts through emotional and psychological mismanagement of their internal states. The drugs are just what they get addicted TO.

But if you take these people, I am sure you would find they already had some unhealthy obsessions. They were just transferred over to opioids.
