        Women throughout history did not have the right to own property, vote, or represent their interests in government. By necessity, they were forced to attach themselves to a husband in order to secure resources. Now that women have the option to choose, and overwhelmingly educated women choose to work and have children later in life. I don't view this as being a bad thing in and of itself.

        Women are hypergamous because it allows them to better secure the security of their children and improve the next generation. Women who have low standards are always figures of ridicule. If you had a daughter, you wouldn't be pleased to learn she was attaching herself to unemployed, criminal, scumbag men.

        The issue really is that we've reached a point where many men are unable to provide enough benefits to women such that they are interested in building a family with them. The solution to this is NOT to send our species backward by encouraging women to once again return to domestic drudgery (which many women throughout history have NOT wanted to do despite what you say). I view the inevitable population drop as a good thing - quality over quantity. I only want the best of the best to have children and pass on their genes. You can't really think its a positive thing that Ms Mediocre decides to quit her job to eke out a meagre existence on Mr Coomer's dime, do you? I'd rather they both just work until they drop dead and only the truly exceptional people get to have children (a privilege, not a right).
