Cosby was framed. K is not the rape drug, nor is it dangerous. Don't know how swimming got into it.

I have been a huge advocate for Cosby, just making a joke.

Not just swimming but hot tubs and baths need to be avoided too, if you fall into a k hole you can drown. I've heard of several people going that way and it seems like a horrific way to die since you're fully aware but you can't move. Can you imagine drowning in a foot of water, knowing it's happening but unable to do anything about it?

That grenade suicide guy (retardedly at arms length) on leakreality would have drowned in that 3 inch puddle if the Russian cop hadn't saved him. "Give me a hand, bro"

[–][deleted] 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (10 children)

Oh shit, hadn't seen that before. link for anyone interested

I thought grenades were more dangerous than that.

I'm not an explosives expert, but I believe there's an exponential decrease in lethality as the distance increases.

If he would have held that beside his head, he would be dead. Instead, he's just far worse off than he was before. "Wow, this sucks! How can I make it ten times worse?"

[–][deleted] 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (7 children)

I thought the lethal range was 25 to 50m depending on the type, why grenades are sometimes considered a defensive weapon, short of clearing rooms and hidey holes, since you need cover to shield yourself from the effects because you can't throw it farther than it can hurt you.

Reminds me of a failed suicide attempt I met at a party, dude was depressed so he shot himself in the head and fucked up his face, teeth, and mind. I thought if things were bad then, they sure as shit didn't get better.

Kill radius is "up to" 5 meters, or 15 feet, but not guaranteed. Or as Sargon of Akkad would put it, "depends on the child grenade."

[–][deleted] 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

Wow, I really fucked up those distances :)

[–]Node 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Yeah, that's more like 155 mm artillery, or something larger.

For a typical US 155 artillery round such as the M-107 normal cavity round, it has a kill radius of approximately 50 meters and a casualty radius of 100 meters. It should be noted that the “radius” represents the distance where 50% of the people within the radius would be killed or injured.

Those are quite a bit bigger than a grenade. lol

What's really crazy is that on the beaches of Normandy (and elsewhere) more men died of NOT being hit by bullets or explosives. If you are near an explosion you may live - for a while. The severe shock wave has rippled and ripped through your entire body, including your delicate lung tissue - so more men died slowly by drowning in their own blood for up to two weeks after the instance of trauma.

You can read an application of this trivia is in my /s/BittersweetSeeds story, whenever I finish getting it out of my head.

[–]Node 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Sounds pretty unpleasant. But also a more efficient way to disable enemy forces.

[–]JasonCarswell 2 insightful - 3 fun2 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 3 fun -  (1 child)

Should have aimed better. At a party, prolly drunk.

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

I mean I met him after the fact at a party.

[–]JasonCarswell 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Not going to watch it.

An underwater grenade is more dangerous to people in the water as it carries the explosive shock MUCH better than air.

I suspected. I'm often verbose because always 80% I'm clarifying for / talking to the silent audience.

This seems like a giant exaggeration - into a huge myth if you've heard this elsewhere. Don't repeat it.

Firstly, as a former lifeguard: Don't swim alone without a buddy, especially if on substances. If you're in a group, even if extreme partying, folks would notice something like that. I've been there, done that. Even in a hot tub in the desert in the back of a school bus (ONLY on the first day, the water gets NASTY thereafter).

Secondly, that's not how K works. Yes, 10% of people are hyper-sensitive. Essentially it's as if 10% of people had 1 bear and it made them pass out. Alcohol lasts for hours. K can last 45 minutes or so. Coked up goons on Wall Street call ketamine the "lunch hour vacation". Regardless, if you feel yourself "loosing it", you'd still have time to "escape" the tub. Swimming is a different story - and you need not be on substances to underestimate your abilities. Reasonable people do it. All. The. Time. I used to save some.

since you're fully aware but you can't move.

This is not accurate at all. Ketamine is a disassociative, and if enough is taken you become tranquilized to sleep and thus immobilized. You don't become immobilized via some kind of paralysis before you loose consciousness.

Ranking of the most dangerous drugs/cdn0.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_asset/file/3369928/most_dangerous_drugs.0.png) I've seen other graphs like this, but sideways. https://duckduckgo.com/?q=safety+of+ketamine+compared+to+other+drugs

It comes up occasionally in the reddit drug subs, friends and family dying that way.

That's what it does to me. Regardless, passing out in shallow water or being paralyzed has the same risk of drowning, ala Whitney Houston.

Don't believe everything you read on Reddit. It might happen on extremely rare occasion, but I doubt it's a thing. I would expect more people to walk into traffic or fall down stairs. Swimming on drugs is stupid, but never off the table for humans.

You're the first person I've heard of this happening to. Are you among the 10% that are hyper-sensitive to ketamine? If so, I don't know if it would be the pain relief you seek. Either that or you took way too much and/or you be tripping but not really as aware as you might think you are. Then again my mistress Ketamine, Goddess of Mathematica and Mischief, is ever the prankster, even with unexpected results at times.

If you do try it again, obviously stay away from water, stairs, candles, and traffick, and consider going in super mini-doses, counting the crystal grains. If you know how much is in a snuff bullet bump, then divide that amount in to 8ths to cumulatively try every 10 or 15 minutes until you reach a comfortable threshold. Don't watch a movie (it gets frustrating when you can't follow it), find some nice music, lay on your bed or sofa and meditate - and critically plan to keep doing that. Don't get distracted and think you can go do something else at the same time. Ketamine is not a multitasking sport and you'll only fail, be frustrated, break something - or DIE. I like to watch the patterns on the inside of my eyelids (much better than when you rub your eyes hard) in a waking dream of sorts.

I have unusual effects from drugs. Shrooms don't affect me at all, cocaine is pretty meh, opiates feel more gross than fun. Eating weed is super inefficient, takes 10x a normal person's dose to affect me. I think that's an enzyme issue.

It's not just fun drugs either. My high BP is what my last doctor called "drug resistant." I had to come up with a combo that actually worked. Kinda proud about out doctoring my doctors though. Kinda depressing too.

My birthday is in 3 hours!

[–]JasonCarswell 3 insightful - 3 fun3 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 3 fun -  (1 child)

Shrooms give me gut rot 3/4 of the time. I don't do opiates. I avoid eating pot as I never know the amount and it kicks my ass.

Happy birthday! If I had some I'd give you some ketamine, nitrous, and DMT - my faves.

I know. Thanks!

I just used to dehydrate the liquid ketamine and snort fat rails. It may also be a volume issue if you've only done bumps from those cocaine bullets.

[–]JasonCarswell 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Oh, so you have serious experience. Fat rails of K is your problem.

I've done both coke and K from bullets and in fat rails. Everything in moderation, including moderation. Sometimes it's good to go heavy, but ultimately I prefer not going insane on coke and carefully planning my K-holes. A bump of coke is vastly superior to energy drinks and a bump of K will put a glow on your world, usually with a window of minor confusion after 5 minutes that will pass.
