I witnessed this first hand when I had a corporate job. Everything written is 100% how it works. If you are a director, you are forced to stand up in front of your peers and leaders and explain the diversity makeup of your team. If you aren't hitting your diversity targets, you will get called into a room of senior leaders who will ask you to explain your plan for increasing diversity and tell you they will accept no excuses for not hitting diversity goals. At that point, you either hire or promote a black female or get fired.

Also, look into diversity suppliers. It's basically an embargo on white male owned business.
