Yes lol… Nationalist parties across the world are popular with working class voters which almost always form their main support base. In Europe I can tell you that any blue-color person you meet will be nationalistic on some level whereas the opposite is true for the bourgeoisie. So I’m not really seeing the change you describe?

Maybe you’re just seeing a generational/aesthetic shift? Working class people my age never worked in factories or mines like our families did for centuries up till the 1980’s. Most folk live pretty similar lifestyles these days at some form of service job, so the lines get a bit blurry. Especially for Americans where class distinctions were already weaker.

We definitely did get a boost of intellectual/young professional types post 2016 which was very welcome.
