No, it's both. I did some extra reading on that because my memory was a bit foggy since I last heard about this a few years back. According to StatsCanada, Whites will be a plurality in 2036--not my 2035--however, the last time they did a prediction was back in 2017 and they specifically mentioned that it will be 2036 ONLY if rates stay the same. Unfortunately, that's not what has happened. Immigration, since 2017, has only increased. When they do another analysis, my guess is that they will find the new date to be 2033. Though, since they only do a study every five years, it is fair to assume that Whites will most likely be a plurality by 2030. Here's a Candian publication boasting about this prospect, and rubbing it in the face of, "old stock Canadians."
