You should also cite specifically the amendments that cause our mongrelization. The 14th amendment: The major provision of the 14th amendment was to grant citizenship to “All persons born or naturalized in the United States,” thereby granting citizenship to former slaves. The 14th Amendment is cited in more court cases than any other, often in matters seeking to end discrimination against individuals based on race. The meaning of the Equal Protection Clause has been the subject of much debate, and inspired the well-known phrase "Equal Justice Under Law". This clause was the basis for Brown v. Board of Education (1954), the Supreme Court decision that helped to dismantle racial segregation, and also the basis for many other decisions rejecting discrimination against, and "bigotry" towards people belonging to various groups.

Also, The 15th Amendment granted black men the right to vote by declaring that the "right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any state on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude."
