Oh, horseshit. First off, the diagnostic test checks your respiratory system for viral RNA. The antibody test checks your blood for antibodies, so if you get a surprise positive on that I means you're one of the lucky asymptomatic folks.

That said, I'll never believe it's a hoax because I've had it, and my wife had it worse, and it's NOT FUCKING FUN. I can very much see how it could push somebody who already has health problems over the brink.

Also the Democrats are far too incompetent to perpetuate a hoax of this magnitude.

it's NOT FUCKING FUN.

neither is the flu, which kills 500,000 people every year worldwide, but we don't shut down the entire world because of it.

You can look at the number of deaths and compare it to the numbers a typical year, i.e. deaths caused by e.g. the flu. Way more people are dying this year than during a flu season, and this despite extreme measures keeping the infection rate relatively low compared to what it would be if it was allowed to spread as freely as the flu.

There are more people on Earth this year than last year, the (non-white) population is growing, so of course there are more dead. Flu numbers fluctuate too.
