The rest of the world is opening back up, but Americans are too self-centered to wear masks. And we can apparently politicize anything.

No one with any sense thinks we can actually stop the virus. The idea is to keep the infection rate low enough for hospitals and medical suppliers to keep up. No one wants to lose Grandma to something that would be survivable if the system isn't overwhelmed.

the virus is 0.125 microns big, N95 masks, which nobody uses, protect down to 0.3 microns. essentially all you are doing when wearing a mask is creating a swamp of saliva around your face so you can spread covid into the wind. masks are just symbology for the cattle to prove to the cabal that we can be easily manipulated.

and what do you think happens when you have worn the same mask for months straight? i sincerely doubt that americans have changed their mask every day for the past few months. they are filled with bacteria and viruses assuming they are positive. when you continue to breathe on the mask coated in your saliva do you think it just continues to build? it has to go somewhere, and that somewhere is out into the air because nobody wears form fitting masks.

Retards? The ones using science rather than anecdotal opinions? The wearing of masks is clearly not about stopping a disease but rather getting people used to taking new controls. You can wear a ski mask, silk mask, wooven mask, all which do nothing and everyone would be happy you are compliant. If it were about stopping a disease none of those would be acceptable.

No one in Sweden is wearing a mask right now either, but deaths per day keeps dropping lower and lower. And no one is chastizing them. This is political targeting against Americans.

The problem is not Americans refusing to wear masks, in fact America has no special problem with COVID. Many countries in Europe had it just as bad. Now we are simply seeing an increase in positive tests, along with an increase in overall testing and a decrease in deaths.

You can look at the number of deaths and compare it to the numbers a typical year, i.e. deaths caused by e.g. the flu. Way more people are dying this year than during a flu season, and this despite extreme measures keeping the infection rate relatively low compared to what it would be if it was allowed to spread as freely as the flu.

My 18yo daughter had it. It's way worse than flu. She's a healthy athlete, she ended up on oxygen briefly.

Mortality from flu is about 0.1%, mortality from Covid about 0.5%.

We don't grind to a halt with flu because most of the at risk population gets vaccinated so the number of deaths per annum from it is a fraction if what it would be of it was running rampant like Covid is right now.

IFR is estimated between 0.1 and 0.4, and that's across all ages. For people under 70 it's something miniscule like 0.05.
