The last thing I want is to let anyone to steal my data. I know I can trust an obscure communications client by an unknown team that is closed source and has never been security audited. Thanks Utopia!

If it's for free then you're the product (your personal data) that they sell to other buyers.

But since there's a whole crypto rewards system then they have another scheme going.

I like the feel of this project, and will give it a shot in a torified VM. But their reasoning for not open sourcing their code worries me a bit. They say they are afraid of forks of the project. Hopefully they will open source after/if it becomes popular.
