I hate to disagree with my lord and savior, but Jesus my friend, investing is NOT usury. Usury is usury.

Investing in the future, saving for a rainy day, prepping, etc. = NOT usury.

If you have excess in your bank account, don't let the banks use it. Support alternatives such as cryptocurrencies if you must keep it close to liquid. If I had "money to burn" I'd buy into counter-narrative productions, arts, YouTube alternatives, etc. I'd invest in IPFS servers, open-source solutions, and other such things. And after this fall I should have a first draft of my epic story finished so that people can like it or lump it, and together we can improve it and produce it.

Sorry, investing in the stock market is what I meant to say.

I wouldn't call that usury either. I'd call it a lottery-like pyramid scam though.

Also, anything that helps the corporatocracy and/or banks is supporting the usury-establishment and debt-slavery system.

It's usury because you are using interest bearing loans. I invite you to read the book: and its free: Jeffery Marks: Pathology of Debt.

Are you conflating two books?

Shows "The Modern Idolatry" by Marks

Seems written by Henry C.K. Liu

Maybe I'm not looking hard enough.

The present intolerable position, which the writer believes to be merely the preliminary stage in the complete breakdown of the monetary system throughout Western civilization, is the living ‘reductio ad absurdum’ of a condition which is implicit in all forms of sociology under usury.

Basically, people become accustomed to their suffering and the usurious system built around our lives.
