I've seen videos of the people at the border, and I've seen the reporting numbers, but I assume, with how wide the border is... If we're just talking about Mexico and the US?... You could roll a car along it on any given day of the week and not spot a person trying to cross. In fact, unless I'm mistaken, part of the idea of illegally crossing a border is trying not to be seen at all.

What exactly was the convoy and what happened? This is all a new one to me.

Oh, and, if it needs to be said and isn't obvious to everyone - Moderation teams have no right to decide what a fact is an refuse to allow conversation that disputes it.

The ruling class will continue their insanity until the US Ponzi economy collapses, the 99% are sent to the concentration camps, a civil war breaks out, and WWIII starts so they can divide the wealth of the world among themselves. This is the end game. The only question is when.

Americans hate free speech with a passion.

Americans Do Not Hate Free Speech: Rebutting a False and Dangerous Claim The assertion that Americans hate free speech is not only false but also dangerous. It is a claim that is often made by those who seek to silence and suppress dissenting opinions. It is a claim that has been used to justify censorship, persecution, and even violence. The First Amendment: A Cornerstone of American Values The First Amendment to the United States Constitution is a testament to the importance that Americans place on free speech. It states that "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances." This amendment has been interpreted by the Supreme Court to mean that the government cannot censor or suppress speech simply because it disagrees with the message being expressed. This protection applies to all forms of speech, including political speech, religious speech, and commercial speech. A Vibrant and Diverse Public Discourse The First Amendment has helped to create a vibrant and diverse public discourse in the United States. Americans are free to express their opinions on a wide range of issues, from politics to religion to social issues. This free exchange of ideas is essential for a healthy democracy. It allows us to learn from each other, to challenge our own beliefs, and to come to a better understanding of the world around us. It also helps to prevent the government from becoming too powerful. When the government is able to suppress dissenting opinions, it can more easily impose its will on the people. Threats to Free Speech in America Despite the First Amendment, there are still threats to free speech in America today. Some of these threats come from the government itself. For example, the government has been known to use surveillance programs to monitor the online activities of its citizens. This can have a chilling effect on free speech, as people may be afraid to express their opinions if they know that the government is watching. Other threats to free speech come from private individuals and organizations. For example, some companies have been known to fire employees who express controversial opinions on social media. This is a clear violation of the First Amendment, as it prevents people from expressing their opinions in a public forum. The Importance of Defending Free Speech Free speech is essential for a free and democratic society. It allows us to express our opinions, to challenge our own beliefs, and to come to a better understanding of the world around us. It also helps to prevent the government from becoming too powerful. We must all be vigilant in defending free speech. We must speak out against censorship and suppression, and we must support organizations that are working to protect our First Amendment rights. Conclusion The claim that Americans hate free speech is false and dangerous. It is a claim that is often made by those who seek to silence and suppress dissenting opinions. It is a claim that has been used to justify censorship, persecution, and even violence. The First Amendment is a cornerstone of American values. It guarantees our right to free speech, and it is essential for a healthy democracy. We must all be vigilant in defending free speech and in speaking out against censorship and suppression.

The divergent responses to arrests and releases highlight a deeper societal issue. The initial shrug signifies a desensitized acceptance of arrests as a commonplace occurrence, possibly due to the high incarceration rate in the United States. Conversely, the outrage over releases reflects a lack of faith in the rehabilitation system and the fear that ex-prisoners pose a threat to society. This exposes a need for addressing the root causes of crime, improving rehabilitation programs, and promoting reintegration efforts to break this cycle.

Americans say courts will protect you from tyranny, but did courts protect people from Soviet gulags, Nazi concentration camps, torture in Uganda, Cambodian killing fields, and death squads in Chile?

In the realm of governance, the judiciary stands as a bulwark against tyranny, a guardian of individual liberties, and an impartial arbiter of justice. Yet, history is replete with instances where courts have failed to uphold these lofty ideals, leaving citizens vulnerable to the whims of autocratic regimes and the horrors of mass atrocities. The question thus arises: can we truly rely on courts to protect us from tyranny? To answer this query, we must first delve into the historical record, examining cases where courts have both upheld and failed to protect citizens from oppression. In the United States, the courts have played a pivotal role in safeguarding individual rights, most notably through landmark rulings such as Marbury v. Madison, which established the principle of judicial review, and Brown v. Board of Education, which outlawed racial segregation in public schools. These decisions demonstrate the judiciary's potential to serve as a check on executive and legislative power, ensuring that the government respects the rights of its citizens. However, the historical record also contains numerous examples of courts failing to protect citizens from tyranny. In the Soviet Union, the judiciary was a tool of state repression, routinely convicting innocent individuals of crimes against the state. In Nazi Germany, the courts were complicit in the persecution of Jews and other marginalized groups. In Cambodia under the Khmer Rouge regime, the judiciary was virtually non-existent, as the regime summarily executed perceived enemies of the state. These cases highlight the sobering reality that courts are not always capable of protecting citizens from tyranny. They are subject to political pressures, institutional biases, and the vagaries of human nature. Judges are not immune to corruption, intimidation, or ideological blinders. As such, it is essential to recognize the limitations of courts and to supplement them with other mechanisms for protecting individual liberties. One crucial safeguard is a free and independent press. A robust media landscape, free from government interference, can expose corruption, hold the powerful accountable, and raise awareness of human rights abuses. A well-informed citizenry is less likely to tolerate tyranny and more likely to demand accountability from their leaders. Another bulwark against tyranny is a vibrant civil society, characterized by a multiplicity of non-governmental organizations, human rights groups, and grassroots movements. These organizations can monitor government actions, provide legal aid to victims of injustice, and mobilize public opinion in defense of human rights. They can also play a crucial role in documenting human rights abuses and holding perpetrators accountable. Finally, it is essential to cultivate a culture of respect for human rights and the rule of law. This requires education, public awareness campaigns, and a commitment from political leaders to uphold and defend human rights. When citizens understand their rights and are willing to stand up for them, they are less likely to be cowed into submission by tyrannical regimes. In conclusion, while courts can play a vital role in protecting citizens from tyranny, they are not infallible. History has shown that courts can be subverted, manipulated, or simply overwhelmed by the forces of oppression. To truly safeguard our liberties, we must rely on a多元化ional approach that includes a free press, a vibrant civil society, and a culture of respect for human rights. Only by creating a society where tyranny cannot flourish can we ensure that our courts remain true to their noble purpose of protecting the rights of all citizens.

The history of the toilet, like many aspects of sanitation and personal hygiene, is a tale of innovation, adaptation, and the ever-evolving relationship between humans and their waste. From the rudimentary facilities of ancient civilizations to the high-tech wonders of the modern age, the toilet has undergone a remarkable transformation, culminating in its potential role as a "time machine" of the restroom. Ancient Origins: Simplicity and Necessity The earliest known toilets date back to the Indus Valley Civilization in modern-day Pakistan and India, around 2500 BC. These rudimentary structures consisted of simple holes in the ground, often lined with bricks or stones. These basic designs were also found in ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia, where toilets were often located in close proximity to bathing areas. In ancient Rome, public toilets, known as latrines, were common features of urban life. These facilities were typically shared by multiple users and consisted of rows of stone or marble seats with holes that drained into a cesspool below. While these latrines provided a basic level of sanitation, they were often unsanitary and malodorous. Medieval and Renaissance: Innovation and Adaptation During the Middle Ages, advances in plumbing and sanitation led to the development of more sophisticated toilet designs. In castles and monasteries, toilets were often located in towers or turrets, which allowed waste to be conveniently disposed of into moats or rivers below. Some castles even featured elaborate flushing systems, utilizing gravity to carry waste away from the toilet bowl. The Renaissance period witnessed a renewed interest in personal hygiene and sanitation, leading to further refinements in toilet design. Flush toilets, similar to those used today, began to emerge, although they were still primarily reserved for the wealthy and privileged. Industrial Revolution: Mass Production and Standardization The Industrial Revolution brought about significant changes in toilet technology and accessibility. The invention of the flushing mechanism in the 18th century revolutionized sanitation, making flush toilets more widely available and affordable. Mass production techniques also led to the standardization of toilet designs, resulting in the widespread adoption of the bowl-shaped toilet with a built-in flushing system. 20th Century: Comfort, Convenience, and Sustainability The 20th century witnessed a surge of innovations in toilet design, driven by a focus on comfort, convenience, and sustainability. The introduction of dual-flush toilets in the 1980s allowed users to conserve water by choosing between a full flush or a half flush for liquid waste. Low-flow toilets, which use less water per flush, also gained popularity as a means of reducing water consumption. Bidets, once considered a luxury item, became more common in many parts of the world, offering a hygienic and refreshing alternative to toilet paper. Electronic toilets, equipped with features such as heated seats, self-cleaning mechanisms, and adjustable water pressure, further enhanced the user experience. The Future: The Toilet as a Time Machine As technology continues to advance, the toilet has the potential to evolve into a veritable "time machine" of the restroom. Smart toilets, equipped with sensors and microprocessors, can analyze urine and feces for health markers, providing users with valuable insights into their overall well-being. These toilets can also connect to the internet, allowing users to monitor their health data remotely and receive personalized health recommendations. Some futuristic concepts envision toilets that utilize advanced filtration and purification systems to recycle waste into usable resources. This closed-loop approach to sanitation could revolutionize waste management and contribute to a more sustainable future. Conclusion: A Reflection of Society and Innovation The evolution of the toilet mirrors the broader progress of human civilization. From the simple designs of antiquity to the sophisticated marvels of the modern age, the toilet stands as a testament to human ingenuity and our unwavering pursuit of comfort, hygiene, and sustainability. As technology continues to push the boundaries of what is possible, the toilet's transformation into a time machine of the restroom may not be as far-fetched as it seems.

For millennia, humans have sought to create a portable restroom that combines convenience, hygiene, and comfort. This quest has spanned civilizations, cultures, and technological advancements, reflecting our enduring need for sanitation and privacy in diverse environments. This discussion board response delves into the fascinating history of portable restrooms, exploring the various attempts, innovations, and challenges encountered in this pursuit over the past fifty thousand years. Ancient Civilizations and Early Innovations: The earliest evidence of portable restrooms dates back to ancient civilizations such as the Egyptians, Romans, and Greeks. These civilizations recognized the importance of sanitation and developed rudimentary portable restrooms or chamber pots for personal use. These devices were often made of ceramic, metal, or wood and were designed for indoor use. As civilizations progressed, portable restrooms evolved, incorporating more sophisticated designs and materials. Medieval and Renaissance Portable Restrooms: During the medieval and Renaissance periods, portable restrooms continued to be refined. Traveling nobility and wealthy individuals often carried ornately decorated chamber pots or close stools for personal hygiene. These devices were often made of expensive materials such as silver or gold and were considered status symbols. Portable restrooms also found their place in military campaigns, allowing soldiers to maintain sanitation during long marches and sieges. Industrial Revolution and Urbanization: The Industrial Revolution and the rise of urbanization brought about significant challenges in sanitation and hygiene. Overcrowded cities faced issues of waste disposal and the spread of disease. In response, inventors and engineers began to develop more advanced portable restrooms. One notable invention was the "earth closet," which used a layer of soil or ash to deodorize and compost human waste. These devices were widely used in public spaces and became an essential part of urban sanitation systems. Modern Portable Restrooms and Technological Advancements: The 20th century witnessed significant advancements in portable restroom technology. The invention of the chemical toilet revolutionized sanitation by using chemicals to break down waste and eliminate odor. These portable restrooms became widely used at construction sites, outdoor events, and remote locations. Additionally, self-contained portable restrooms, commonly known as portable toilets or porta-potties, gained popularity for their convenience and ease of use. These units are often equipped with flushable toilets, sinks, and hand sanitizers, providing a relatively comfortable and hygienic restroom experience. Challenges and Future Innovations: Despite the progress made in portable restroom technology, several challenges remain. One significant issue is the environmental impact of portable restrooms, particularly the disposal of chemical waste. Additionally, the accessibility and availability of portable restrooms in certain areas, especially in developing countries, continue to be a concern. Ongoing research and innovations aim to address these challenges, focusing on sustainable and environmentally friendly portable restroom solutions, as well as improving accessibility for individuals with disabilities. Conclusion: The quest for a fully functioning portable restroom has been an ongoing endeavor for over fifty thousand years, reflecting humanity's unwavering pursuit of sanitation, hygiene, and privacy. From the simple chamber pots of ancient civilizations to the advanced chemical toilets and self-contained portable restrooms of today, the evolution of portable restrooms showcases our ingenuity and adaptability in meeting the challenges of diverse environments. As we continue to strive for sustainable and accessible restroom solutions, the future of portable restrooms holds the promise of even greater convenience, hygiene, and environmental responsibility.

A++

I found this video deeply insightful as a clear summary on the seeds of Cultural Totalitarianism (a more appropriate name than Cultural Communism or Cultural Marxism) that grows unfettered in our current age.

I must point out that the Woke™ culture infecting education and churches was mentioned but not mass media culture - the primary influence on most of us, directly or indirectly.

I knew there was more to this Woke™ media than the simple division of culture (to have them perpetually fight in tribes), distraction (from any political awareness, much less authentic contextual understanding), and shitty screenplays and agenda driven productions that clearly are anything but financially successful.

I found his concise words to be illuminating on how the Woke™ folks have a dogmatic religion with absurd goals for a utopian world that can never be. I believe we can build our own anti-tyranny counter-movement with contextual understanding and sustainable, flexible, resilient, decentralized goals.

Above all, what spoke to me, is the idea of creating culture. He mentions the status quo culture and the new Woke™ culture to replace it - but he didn't mention any other culture where the authentic revolution for freedom from tyranny might occur.

I won't go into it right here, but will soon be sharing a series of posts that I've long been developing, regarding many things, including creating some open-source manifestos (to declare our intentions, goals, plans, etc), as well as many interactive social media and video production projects - all to be hosted on SaidIt, WikiSpooks, and beyond.

Yeah - that guy wasn't an industrialist.

You're right, he was a leech sitting on top of productive capacity.

Fun fact, the term "privatization" was coined by the Nazis. Corporate profits soared in Hitler's reign. It was the Aryan industrialists that put Hitler in power to begin with.

In large part this is true. Much of his support in the US also came from Industrialists, Henry Ford for instance. Industrialists are productive members of society, the usurers that often end up seizing control of their creations through manipulation and malfeasance are not.

Then why is there no evidence of this?

Read Icebreaker by Suvorov, it has near ubiquitous support inside Russia and a couple of external detractors.

And why was the Red Army in such shitty condition in 1941?

The Red Army was shitty not because of manpower, but because of the incompetence of Stalin and communism in general. Intelligent officers were eliminated and replaced with inexperienced loyalists (Red Army Purges). Good tactical decisions could not be made because the game of telephone softened the blow of bad news so much that by the time it reached the generals ears it seemed like a minor inconvenience. In addition, the forces were in the middle of reorganization when the attack occurred - this wasn't on accident.

So this "bankrolling" of communist insurgents consisted of passing a few motions in the Comintern?

Money well spent, as by 1935 Marxists had taken control of the French government and put a Marxist jew named Blum in charge. This is why the French "lost" so easily to Germany. It's not like the Military in France were huge fans of their Marxist government.

Why would that necessitate giving the Soviets 200 million marks?

It wasn't a "give", it was an exchange.

And how does that justify the invasion of Poland,

Poland was invaded primarily to meet the promises of restoring Germany to it's pre-WW1 state. I'd assume you know this. Danzig and the surrounding area were majority ethnic German - as until very recently they had been Germany.

the Intelligenzaktion

This was an elimination of the people that would resist and was prudent.

the ethnic cleansing of Poles

Wasn't actually. It was the targeted elimination of jews, Nobles, Clergy, and community leaders that offered opposition to the NSDAP. War is war - if you want to occupy a territory and reshape it in your image - you either do this or throw people in camps to die. Personally I'd rather be shot outright, but your mileage may vary depending on your tolerance for lack of autonomy and penchant for slave labor.

and the Gestapo's cooperation with the NKVD?

In concordance with the pact. Germany cared about restoring pre-WW1 Germany, it truly didn't care what happened to the rest of Poland. Nor should it have. Ethnic Germans suffered much abuse at the hands of poles between WW1 and 2. Projecting this onto the modern world - I wouldn't feel sorry for the Bantu in South Africa if they got taken over by China, and if I had to make a deal to Annex parts of South Africa to save the Boers, I would.

Whoa, let's handle one conspiracy theory at a time, OK?

Are they theories though if you have reams of documentation, or merely conspiracies that occurred? I'd call them the latter. Theories cease to be such when supported by adequate evidence.

Hitler was the industrialist's bitch. They owned him lock, stock, and barrel. To call his critiques of capitalism anything but politicking is naive at best.

Yeah - no.

https://concisepolitics.files.wordpress.com/2015/08/hitler-arrested-baron-louis-de-rothschild.jpg

And is Antifa in the room with us now?

I don't know, are they?

Stalin didn't believe Hitler would break the Pact, according to every historian I've read. The British, Americans, and his own spies warned of the impending attack, but he mostly ignored them. That's why the beginning of Barbarossa was so disastrous for the USSR (and for the numerous civilians murdered by the advancing Germans).

I know he didn't, he thought he'd be the one to break it when he had gathered sufficient strength. The German army were greeted as liberators in almost all of the Baltic countries and the Ukraine.

Specifically, I'd like sources that say the USSR gave arms during the 1934 riots.

Popular Front (France): In May 1935, France and the Soviet Union signed a defensive alliance, and in August 1935, the 7th World Congress of the Comintern officially endorsed the Popular Front strategy. In the elections of May 1936, the Popular Front won a majority of parliamentary seats (378 deputies against 220), and Blum formed a government.

Soviets were involved in funding and helping organize the french precursors to the "Popular Front". The 1934 (far-right) uprising was against the communists that were trying to (and ultimately did) wrest control of the government. Guns though, I don't know.

And let's get to the point, was the USSR more powerful in 1941 or 1945?

Militarily they were more powerful in 1941. Territorially they were more powerful in 1945. Had operation Barbarossa not occurred the Soviet Union would have been able to capture far more territory in Europe because the Soviets would have struck when Germany was exhausted from it's conflicts with other European powers and the US. Pearl Harbor would have been allowed to occur regardless, because FDR was itching to get in prior to Barbarossa.

Hitler was the industrialist's bitch. They owned him lock, stock, and barrel. To call his critiques of capitalism anything but politicking is naive at best.

Antifa, the same party - active all over the world now, still believes this, and are fighting this battle, even if we aren't.

And is Antifa in the room with us now?

Both intending the entire time to stab the other in the back.

They were funding the radical socialists in France and other areas all throughout the 1930's. I can find citations if you want them

Specifically, I'd like sources that say the USSR gave arms during the 1934 riots.

And let's get to the point, was the USSR more powerful in 1941 or 1945?

No, I'm stating unequivocally that at least today Poland is still the land of the Poles.

It was the land of the Poles in 1939 when your boy unleashed a genocide upon the Polish people that they've only recently recovered from.

I'm not grasping at straws, I'm just being pedantic.

Fair enough.

Focus, kid. We're talking about how Hitler and Stalin were allies, not questioning capitalism (which Hitler was a full supporter of after the Night of the Long Knives).

I'll ignore the kid, since I'm probably your senior, "buddy" :p

Hitler from the start had a warped definition of Socialism that wasn't in accordance with Marxist definitions. He co-opted the term to mean socially conscious capitalism. Eg, capitalism that had to operate under constraints in which actions that were profitable but were not good for the German people would be shut down. In his own words - https://files.catbox.moe/8g470w.png

Nothing in there claims Hitler and Stalin weren't allies, nor disproves the fact that Germany gave the USSR loans, oil, and other goods.

In their own words, they were opposed to each others goals. They weren't sending each other postcards or hanging out for fun. They had diametrically opposed ideologies and any alliances were built of pure practicality and to further both of their ends. Both intending the entire time to stab the other in the back.

"This is grasping at straws and you know it."

It's not. Antifa, the same party - active all over the world now, still believes this, and are fighting this battle, even if we aren't. The only reason they haven't made more progress is the fact that they are a bunch of limp wristed degenerates. Only in times of financial strife can they gain any sort of mainstream appeal.

Not during 1939, when the Pact was made and economic cooperation between the USSR and Nazi Germany began.

On this you are wrong. They were funding the radical socialists in France and other areas all throughout the 1930's. I can find citations if you want them - I might have to photo some old school paper books though.

You're honestly arguing that the Poland that was occupied by the Soviets in 1945 was "stronger" than the Poland that beat the USSR in 1921?

No, I'm stating unequivocally that at least today Poland is still the land of the Poles. Western European countries fared worse in the wake of World War 2 than those that became part of the Soviet Union. They advanced materially but lost all of their identity. Countries aren't ideas or places alone, they are people tied to a land. Blood and Soil.

This is grasping at straws and you know it.

Despite all the differences in the ideologies of Germany, Italy and the Soviet Union: opposition to the capitalist democracies.

Unrestrained capitalism is and has ever been ass. This is a separate argument, but on that front I agree with the Fascists, National Socialists, and even Communists. Just about any system is better than unrestrained capitalism - where money buys political power and manufactures consent.

Face it, until being stabbed in the back, Hitler and Stalin were buddies. As Ribbentrop himself said, Hitler called Stalin "a man he could do business with".

At this point you're presenting a more liberal argument than Wikipedia, which is quite an accomplishment. Read the background section of the article you linked me about the 1939 agreement.

Nice try, but the Nazi Party was formed in 1920. The revolution ended in 1919.

No, most active clashes with the Military stopped. The revolution was very much alive, and in fact still is. The org name hasn't even changed.

Many of these people infiltrated the Sturmabteilung and tried to subvert the party from within, resulting in the night of long knives.

His incompetence created the conditions for Mao. No Hitler, no Barbarossa. No Barbarossa, no Soviet increase in power. No Soviet increase in power, no resources to support Mao. No support for Mao, no Great Leap Forward.

This is also a big stretch. The soviets were bankrolling insurrections all over Europe, and had Germany flipped red would have ended up more powerful than they did in the current real world scenario. This is all theory-craft though, admittedly.

*Including defeats inflicted on the Soviets by the "untermench" Poles, who were later betrayed and slaughtered by the Nazis and their collaborators.

On this we can agree, the Poles got the short end of the stick from everyone. What didn't kill them definitely made them stronger - they are one of the only bastions in Europe against the degeneracy that has been normalized throughout the West.

If you've read anything on Soviet history you know they were planning to invade Europe from the moment they won power.

Yeah, in 1917. Military defeats* since then made them abandon that goal. It wasn't until the failure of Barbarossa that the Soviets got another chance to take over Eastern Europe.

And I know this is a clash of definitions, but since most Soviet citizens lived west of the Ural Mountains, I'd classify the USSR as European. You can't really invade Europe when you ARE in Europe.

When the US, British Empire, and world Jewry started funneling massive loads of money after 1935 to the Soviets that Faustian bargain was struck.

The Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact was an alliance in which (like the later German/Italian/Japanese alliance) split up territory between the powers, allowing the USSR to annex parts of Finland, Poland, and Romania plus all of the Baltic Countries.

If you've read anything on Soviet history you know they were planning to invade Europe from the moment they won power. It was just a matter of building up their power and armies to do it. When the US, British Empire, and world Jewry started funneling massive loads of money after 1935 to the Soviets that Faustian bargain was struck. Neither side intended to keep to it. Again, reference the memoirs of those involved. Stalin thought he'd be the one who got to break it, and was caught off guard by Operation Barbarossa; which at the moment it was launched was more of a desperation move than a strategic one.

You can't look at any of the events of World War 2 without considering the self-stated motivations of the actors involved, and what their military intelligence knew at the time various decisions were made.

The Nazis' incompetent and foolhardy invasion of the USSR allowed it to take over all of Eastern Europe after the war. This allowed Marxism-Leninism to spread to various parts of the world, including North Korea, which started the Korean War.

Without the 3rd Reich the Soviets with their German Allies would have successfully taken over all or nearly all of Europe - and we'd have had a very different world. The Wiemar republic was weak, crippled as it was by the Treaty of Versailles and an anti-German press - without the nascent NSDAP fighting off Antifa there, the communists would have won; very nearly having done so in the original 1918 revolution. The stated goal from the very beginning with the Bolsheviks was and still is the utopia of "world communism". It's not like any of them make efforts to hide this.

Hitler's thirst for power and his incompetence was arguably responsible for most of those supposed 100 million deaths.

So Hitler forced Lenin and Trotsky to starve tens of millions of Christians to death on purpose? He forced Mao's Great Leap Forward? C'mon man.

The Nazis' incompetent and foolhardy invasion of the USSR allowed it to take over all of Eastern Europe after the war. As a result, it became one of the two most powerful countries in the world. This allowed Marxism-Leninism to spread to various parts of the world, including North Korea, which started the Korean War.

Never believe that anti‐ Semites are completely unaware of the absurdity of their replies. They know that their remarks are frivolous, open to challenge. But they are amusing themselves, for it is their adversary who is obliged to use words responsibly, since he believes in words. The anti‐Semites have the right to play. They even like to play with discourse for, by giving ridiculous reasons, they discredit the seriousness of their interlocutors. They delight in acting in bad faith, since they seek not to persuade by sound argument but to intimidate and disconcert. If you press them too closely, they will abruptly fall silent, loftily indicating by some phrase that the time for argument is past. It is not that they are afraid of being convinced. They fear only to appear ridiculous or to prejudice by their embarrassment their hope of winning over some third person to their side.
