The UK has gone full 1984. I'm glad I at least live somewhere that doesn't have the population density to support their 24/7 surveillance state.

Yea we can’t really afford to be sacking our senior medical staff with years of experience just because some clowns don’t like what they have to say.

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Very true. It raises questions as to how many others have been sacked for similar reasons.

His 'free speech' (as he claims) is not the problem.

The problem is that he worked for the NHS as a senior consultant while spreading misinformation and disinformation that could seriously harm many in the general public (and probably did harm them).

Some of his many lies: https://twitter.com/drmohammadiadi1?lang=en-GB

EDIT -

In response to the 4 users below, more info (quote and paraphrase):

The Hippocratic Oath is violated when doctors publicly talk against the vaccines.

The Hippocratic Oath contains a commitment that the doctors will “respect the hard-won scientific gains of those physicians in whose steps I walk, and gladly share such knowledge as is mine with those who are to follow.” The vaccine a hard-won scientific gain of science.

The Oath also commits the doctor to “apply, for the benefit of the sick, all measures that are required, avoiding those twin traps of overtreatment and therapeutic nihilism.”

The Oath also prescribes that the doctor need “not be ashamed to say ‘I know not,’ nor will I fail to call in my colleagues when the skills of another are needed for a patient’s recovery.”

In the Oath, doctors also commit to “prevent disease whenever I can, for prevention is preferable to cure.” Vaccines have been a major strategy for prevention of disease.

With freedom comes the responsibility, and the professional title is not a right but a privilege. That makes the doctor’s statements and positions, even views, different from that of a layman. In the midst of fake news and rampant misinformation in traditional and social media, the information-consuming public need responsible messengers and valid content, especially from doctors they trust.

You CANNOT be a medical professional without a professional approach to the science of the vaccine.

If there is one sector that society is seeing as a solid group, it is the medical professionals. Why? Because they have held in their hands the reliable, tested, scientific approaches to end the COVID pandemic where possible. Anything less than that is disappointing and discouraging. The Hippocratic Oath has that unity in context when it makes doctors swear to “not violate this oath.” It also assures doctors: “may I enjoy life and art, respected while I live and remembered with affection thereafter. May I always act so as to preserve the finest traditions of my calling and may I long experience the joy of healing those who seek my help.”

Mohammad I Adil has been dangerous, the potential cause of substantial suffering and potentially, deaths.

Ah I see, you're pissed off that the doctor has the balls to tell the truth. Go back to reddit tiny tyrant.

By that notion, Fauci should be stripped of his medical license and prosecuted for all the lies and misinformation he spread. A professional should be able to give their professional opinion, even if you disagree with it.

Fauci should be tried and then hung for Nuremberg Code violations. Fauci wasn't giving his truthful medical judgement.

He was involved in mass murder. Almost every part of Nuremberg Code was violated by these animals

By the definition of the Hyppocratic Oath, he would be sworn to warn people of the dangers of the vaccine, especially in the young who so often experience cardiac problems, and even death.

Did you know that most vaccines and medicines come with a little pamphlet describing the dangers of administering the substance? The side effects usually range from general discomfort, headaches, malaise and such, right up to rashes, allergies, seizures and indeed death. It is wildly inaccurate to describe any substance as perfectly safe, and any medical professional worth their title would be aware of the dangers and express them to their patient. All pamphlets include a list of ingredients for this very purpose.

During the 'pandemic', one professional footballer refused the vaccine due to medical professionals advising him against the vaccine as it would be incredibly dangerous due to his underlying condition. Despite this, he was vilified in the media, struck off from his job and cast aside as anti-vax, utterly ridiculous.

Now, if you are suggesting that medical professionals ignore the little pamphlet developed by the pharmaceutical manufacturers and confirmed by science as legitimate concern, you would be an anti-science conspiracy theorist who is putting people at risk by not informing people of the risks. You would be putting people's life at risk of suffering, and even death.

sworn to warn people of the dangers of the vaccine

Sure, mentioning potential side effects. He was spreading disinformation that would mislead people into not taking the vaccine, resulting in worsened conditions for themselves if they got COVID, and the greater potential to spread COVID. He swore an oath to uphold the standards of medical science, not to tell everyone that medical science is wrong, thereby endangering the lives of others.

[–][deleted] 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (7 children)

So what about when the science is wrong? Will you give him his job back?

If there is a problem with the medical science research, the medical community will study it. Doctors support the medical community because it's the most accurate resource, and because that's what they represent, and because that's why they can be trusted. There's no reason to trust a random old man who is a traitor to the scientific community, to medical ethics, and especially to numerous patients reading his disinformation.

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (5 children)

If there is a problem with the medical science research, the medical community will study it.

Correct.

Doctors support the medical community because it's the most accurate resource, and because that's what they represent, and because that's why they can be trusted.

Doctors are entitled to question, because they are the medical community and much of the research is reported by them. If we stop listening to individual doctors and their concerns, the medical community becomes an echochamber of a single opinion.

There's no reason to trust a random old man who is a traitor to the scientific community, to medical ethics, and especially to numerous patients reading his disinformation.

Correct, Fauci should not be trusted.

In each response, you are (intentionally?) avoiding the core argument: random asshole doctors who say their medical science colleagues are frauds are of course putting people at risk of anti-science and anti-medical approaches that cause great suffering and death.

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

If the medical science in question was funded for profit, it should be questioned.

You lost me at the first one. By your logic, if I speak publicly about the downsides of a new 'vaccine' for AIDS that kills 99% of it's patients ... you'd say that is out of line with the Hippocratic Oath.

Your definition of reasonable: SOMEONE WHO AGREES WITH ME. THAT PEOPLE SHOULD HAVE NO SAY OVER FORCED MEDICAL EXPERIMENTATION.

obscene

The trials were not forced. Several months of those determined which vaccines were safe. Since then, 13.50 Billion administered vaccines and their results have shown that the trials were reliable. Worry not.
