Honestly, if you can't even expend the minimal energy necessary to stop being a public nuisance and get a roof over your head, I don't give a shit about you.

I'm against abortion, against capital punishment, and against euthanasia generally, but I just can't bring myself to give a shit about bums.

the minimal energy necessary

Yeah. If you haven't got half a million dollars to buy a house, you deserve to be dead.

It's trailers and condos here until you hit $925,000, and that place is less than 700 square feet. Cute, but extremely basic.

I think there's a happy medium between "homeowner" and "guy who sleeps on the sidewalk and harasses pedestrians."

Sure. There's also "guy who is literally one missed paycheck away from being homeless".

People who have been homeless: it's fucking almost impossible to dig yourself out of the hole without help once you are homeless.

People living in a fantasy world: "Have you tried not being homeless?"

I just figure they're the people who didn't pay attention in school. We all remember those people.

This is a shocking abuse by Canada.

It just goes to show that people only pretend to be compassionate to others. Assisted suicide is supposed to be to allow people with truly incurable diseases to die with dignity, not to get rid of homeless people. It is horrific that almost a third of Canadians (of all political affiliations, liberals and conservatives!) approved of assisted suicide for people whose only problem is poverty or homelessness.

I will admit that this news has truly shocked me. I didn't think that people in Canada would be so cruel and heartless as to abuse assisted dying laws in this way.
