I think there's a happy medium between "homeowner" and "guy who sleeps on the sidewalk and harasses pedestrians."

Sure. There's also "guy who is literally one missed paycheck away from being homeless".

People who have been homeless: it's fucking almost impossible to dig yourself out of the hole without help once you are homeless.

People living in a fantasy world: "Have you tried not being homeless?"

I just figure they're the people who didn't pay attention in school. We all remember those people.
