This is as good a place as any to agree with a theme I am seeing on saidit a fair amount lately: racial realism.

Racial relations is a good example of our ideals not fitting reality. All of us would like to live in a world where the races were all equal and all got along fine, regardless of skin colour, ethnicity, religion, etc. The question is not if that's the ideal. It is.

The problem is that reality appears to make this impossible. There are cultural differences among the races that seem to be hardwired, and some of these differences create a lot of friction.

Our historical response to this over the past 75 years has been to hammer harder and harder on the "should!" aspect of the question. If people can't get along, we "should" change our behavior.

But there is a significant benefit to acknowledging inherent and immutable differences. It helps to guide to realistic solutions rather than idealistic ones. In other words, when faced with the fact that the root of racial animosity in our current moment is police interactions with the black community that are a result - 90% of the time - of police response to BLACK-ON-BLACK crime, we can examine why the black community is such a mess within itself. The roots of this are the destruction of the black family structure because of precisely the policies the liberal white community put in place in their idealistic fervour to help the black community. In other words, because liberal whites were incompetent in understanding the culture they were trying to "help", they fucked it up and made matters incalculably worse. All this was based on the absolute doctrine adopted by liberal whites that "blacks and whites think identically, and if we just give them the correct context, they will be raised out of poverty." That hypothesis is being proven spectacularly wrong. Liberal whites manifestly understand black inner-city culture NOT AT ALL, and thus every step they take makes the situation worse.

But faced with this radical failure, rather than acknowledge their mistake, they have done the insane and yet predictable. They choose to blame their opponents, whose ideas they absolutely rode over in order to create their utopia. If blacks aren't responding well to the policies put in place by liberal whites, the fault is with ... ... you guessed it! Conservative whites! If we can just crush conservative whites, then all these failed policies will magically work!

Once this method of ducking responsibility for their own failure is established, they are now moving it into all areas of discourse. Vaccines are failing? Blame the unvaccinated!

The liberal elite of our country is seemingly inherently incapable of acknowledging that their ideas are being demonstrated absolutely wrong (not just a little, but 180 degrees wrong) by reality. Reality is spitting in their face and laughing at the resulting chaos.

This article is in Sweden; the ideology is global. The liberal tendency to believe in their utopias is sowing chaos around the world.

How about we start expecting the same rights and responsibilities for everyone, regardless of race? Until we stop thinking it's our job to "help the unfortunate" as some special class rather than with the expectation that they behave just like everyone else, society around the world will continue to dissolve.

There are some real screwups built into human nature. This one is the longest-demonstrated I can see, going back thousands of years.

The people behind this are just partisan activists with no interest in the truth about crime. They are operating from moral conviction and they see normal, stable society as an enemy of social justice. If fabricating absurd ideas about crime is what it takes to strike a blow against white supremacy, then they are all for it. There is no reasoning with fanatics, as they are beyond reason.

The truly illuminating part about these people, however, is their loathing for successful conservative blacks, women, etc. This is what demonstrates that their entire story about "white male supremacy" is full of shit. They are not interested in disadvantaged people succeeding, unless it is on their terms. Which brings us back to the other standard item here on saidit (with which I also agree): this is about power and control. It has nothing to do with the ideals they say they represent. It shocks me that well-meaning people don't see this, yet I personally know many well-meaning people who cannot conceive that the stories their heroes tell them represent an internal contradiction.

because liberal whites were incompetent in understanding the culture they were trying to "help", they fucked it up and made matters incalculably worse.

Now look into the people financing those liberal whites, and inserting those ideas into their heads in the first place.

Recently my mom threw together a little dinner to celebrate a birthday and overheard at dinner "I would never date a Muslim our ideologies don't mesh." Huh hmm funny I used to tell you that all the time and I got called racist and Islamophobic.

Thats ridiculous, why would anyone be upset by that? I bet if you said "I would never date a Vegan our ideologies don't mesh" nobody would bat an eyelid.

After being online awhile bouncing through dating apps and having to deal with Muslims in there and other places I grew to pretty much never want to deal with them or the other in an intimate capacity. But my family are a bunch of bleeding heart liberals that don't see the way I do and take every opportunity to try to tell me how wrong I am when they wouldn't do the same either.

A lot of the people that remain in or have passed through my life aren't exactly what you would call rational, reasonable or sane.

Import the Third World
Become the Third World

Research can't be trusted if researchers aren't allowed to find certain results without facing punishment. The whole point of research is trying to find out what is closest to correct, not to come to some predetermined, government approved conclusion.

Sweden has decided the purpose of scientific research is to "reduce exclusion and improve integration."

[–][deleted] 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (3 children)

How do you improve integration without addressing problems in the integration process?

[–]Node 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

Perhaps the point of the research is not 'accurately' presented.

[–]Chipit[S] 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

It was accurate. That's why the scientists are being prosecuted.

Thinkers prefer to have the contempt of the SJWs rather than be controlled by them. Because they're worthless people.

In a statement, the body said, “I don’t see anywhere that ethical permission is sought to test the hypothesis if immigrants are overrepresented in statistics on convicted rapists."

The scientists were also criticized for insufficient evaluation as they failed to indicate how their research should “reduce exclusion and improve integration.”

My above comment was poorly worded. I was trying to allude to the "point of research", as defined by that board. According to them, accuracy of data and conclusions are subordinate to furthering political goals.

How dare somebody call a kettle black, cotton white, and water wet.

I see this as only positive. Once Muslims topple the neoliberals, it will be that much easier for a Christian Right to take over from the Muslims.

it's no good that thousands of women are getting raped

Conclusion: 'racism' is a greater crime than rape.
