The flu has a death rate of about 0.1% usually, so at 0.3% it really is just a bad flu... Which I would've vehemently disagreed with 5 weeks ago, but now it's becoming clear that the death rate was vastly overstated through a combination of bad scientific methodology, government-overreach, and a corrupt hype-driven media.

[–]Tom_Bombadil 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

In the end, it will be a 0.03% rate, plus a huge bolus of death certificate fraud.

Which disproves man-made-in-a-lab conspiracies; it's not weapon grade. It was the bat-eaters.

[–]magnora7[S] 11 insightful - 1 fun11 insightful - 0 fun12 insightful - 1 fun -  (8 children)

The mortality rate doesn't prove or disprove that it was man-made.

It seems likely it came out of China's only level 4 biolab located in Wuhan, since they were specifically doing coronavirus mutation research. Either that or some western power made it and leaked it in Wuhan to frame China. Or it could be natural.

My money is on it being made in China and accidentally leaking out. Second most-likely is it mutated naturally. Third-most likely is the west framing China scenario. In my opinion. I haven't seen evidence to rule out any of those 3 scenarios out entirely yet though.

You think "EVALI" is of any relation? I've never heard of that before tbh.

Great site btw!

Certain aspects fit, such as the male bias. The timing and location also kind of fits. So it could be a cover for otherwise hard to explain deaths. Then again, one wouldn't expect it to die down, so I'm not sure. Did it really do that? Or was it masked by other stats? Short of doing autopsies on the affected, who can say?

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Very true. I honestly didn't even take this into consideration. But everything you said is completely valid. And it's funny how at one point the MSM was making a point to say it was "vaping products strictly from China" (iirc) that were causing this issue.

This bit seems to have data entry probs:

November 2019

ABC News reported in April 2020 that the National Center for Medical Intelligence (based in Fort Detrick) had warned the White House that "a contagion was sweeping through China’s Wuhan region, changing the patterns of life and business and posing a threat to the population, according to four sources briefed on the secret reporting."[40]

In late March 2020 Reuters reported that Italian researchers are looking at whether a higher than usual number of cases of severe pneumonia and flu in Lombardy in the last quarter of 2019 may be a signal that the new coronavirus might have spread beyond China earlier than previously thought.[41]

[–]jmichaelhudsondotnet 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Not really, there are still probably multiple strains, and there are credible reports of "inserts" that are very odd in the structure of the virus.

Further, at this point, mere civilians like us can never verify anything like a bioweapon, that we have no chance of verifying ourselves, so everything we believe about these things is based upon the logical structure of who we trust and find credible, which for most people at the moment is itself dealing with "viral" media that is as dangerous as it is contagious...

The meta, the virtual, is what informs us over real life and death issues in 2020, and people are probably also going to start to stop believing even what they see with their own eyes, and start believing deep fakes.

At some point we will learn that we need trust a lot more than money, and losing trust is just as deadly as losing oxygen. Just ask the people who were probably killed by unnecessary ventilator application.

well idk about that. The sequence is out there, y'know? The papers about how to make viruses that aren't classified have been published. Sure there's probably some classified stuff but there's a lot that's not. We can do some amount of investigation ourselves even with little expertise.

But why did china have so many cases of people collapsing in the street then?

Why did china have to lock down entire cities, with rioting, zombie traffic jams, spraydowns, and welding people into their homes?

My overreaction was because what I saw in china was genuine death, panic, fear, and a clearly overwhelmed medical system, plus the censorship.

Why has no other country experienced that? Do you think there is a chance some of the wuhan videos that leaked out were deep fakes? Do you think there are different strains? Or that something else could have been causing those people to collapse?

So much contradictory information and it is like tv journalists just change their tune from day to day, and censor both serious, non-esoteric doctors AND david icke at the same time. To me it seems like they are not so much disputing their facts, as denying them the chance to be popular, and preserving their spot as the only credible sources, when they are not credible.

Which is freaky, spooky, and plainly tyrannical. Which is to say, you can use youtube as a platform, but if you ever have success, for any reason, you get censored and your users redirected to propaganda.

That is also plainly evil. So who owns and calls the shots at youtube? Youtube music head is a guy named Lyor, and he is from a certain country in the middle east.

[–]Robin 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (11 children)

I haven't seen the videos, but if it was man made, I suspect it might be more likely to lose characteristics it was engineered for than if it emerged naturally. So maybe it was more dangerous than the current version.

[–]jmichaelhudsondotnet 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (10 children)

So you think they might have engineered and released a viral bioweapon that degraded in the wild to mutate to be less dangerous?

That is a pretty wild speculation. Would not then there be different versions of this virus captured in different locations?

That is one of the things that confuses me the most, where are the scientists who are collecting strainss from multiple locations confirming it is the same thing, and whether it is mutating?

[–]Robin 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

It's hard to see a virus, never mind a statistic about a virus. Just within China, https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/coronavirus-death-rate/ how to understand a Wuhan rate of 4.9%, other provinces rate of 0.16%? Mutations and different strains is one possible explanation.

You might think, given how much the next pandemic was prepared and planned, there would not be so much confusion and ignorance about it. Do masks help or don't they? You might think... I'm confident that most people are really trying to help people work out what's going on. But probably not everyone.

[–]jmichaelhudsondotnet 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

The mass media being operated for profit and foreign agendas(not patriotic for the united states), is a core component in all of these problems.

So some of us are becoming the media and using the internet to morph our own solutions into reality, and facing a literal mountain of bullshit as every tactic that works is coopted and used to create more propaganda.

Nice to meet you though, most interactions here today were not constructive so it is nice when someone actually answers a question, I hope I can for you some time.

I just read your 'Adventures Trying to Find Humans on the Internet'. I haven't spent much time on forums, but I can imagine it's frustrating. I read and appreciated your guide about infiltration. And I just noticed a link to R4A on your site - so it occurs to me that you may appreciate http://www.unwelcomeguests.net/750 - which was way too long for most people's taste/stamina, but might be your thing. Well, that and/or any of the other episodes, of course...

[–]jmichaelhudsondotnet 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Ive listened to 750 at least 5 times all of the way through, my work belongs on that program but robin is not responding for some reason.

Wait, are you mr upton? idk maybe?

I was listening to episode 209 this morning and one of michael rupperts talks, all of which age very well. Of course no one could predict they would be so nuts as to mine all of the dirtiest and difficult petrochems they could in the ocean, and cause earthquakes with fracking, which is all at the moment going quite pear shaped, as ruppert would have predicted though. They are giving you 30 dollars to take a barrel of oil off their hands lol. Tanker traffic jams, it is kindof funny.

fwiw also in the last 2 weeks I have received 4 threats of violence from my postings. So plz keep an eye on me.

Thank you for the kind words, please spread my site! And especially my meme book, that needs to go far and wide as fast as possible.

[–]jmichaelhudsondotnet 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

it must be you! did you get my emails from jmichael at protonmail? I have reached out to a lot of people, I am concerned my emails might be interdicted, you were one of the people I had really hoped to hear back from. (more than the one time)

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

There have been reports that it's already mutated multiple times, but like you said, everyone changing their tune every day makes things confusing.

https://www.wrdw.com/content/news/This-pandemic-is-not-a-joke-Coronavirus-mutates-into-33-variants-570169131.html

https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2020/04/30/science/coronavirus-mutations.html

https://nymag.com/intelligencer/2020/05/expert-explainer-what-to-know-about-coronavirus-mutations.html

https://www.healthline.com/health-news/what-to-know-about-mutation-and-covid-19

https://www.washingtonpost.com/science/2020/04/22/coronavirus-pets-cats-dogs/

So if it "mutated" multiple times, hypothetically, different countries/nations could be dealing with different "mutated off-shoots" of the original Covid-19, if you believe any of this.

This is like the perfect propagandist hobbyhorse, shaggy dog story, horse and pony show, macguffin and monkey paw rolled into one.

Without real journalism and science, and without any rational way to debate(outside of our dialogue on saidit here), people with mass media channels with an agenda can just make up anything they want and threaten us with it while they do anything they want.

You think you could "fight back" but as with the fake lockdown protests at state capitals, even that would be co-opted.

You think you could just call it out for what it is, which David Icke and doctors are doing, but then you get censored as soon as your audience threatens the propaganda ratings.

Quite a pickle, that is why I am writing, that is what my books are about. But there is that thing about a lie traveling around the world while the truth is still getting its pants on. (and facing the threat of paramilitary violence and zerestzung tactics)

https://www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/2020.04.29.069054v1.full.pdf

Non peer reviewed paper from last week that lists over a dozen mutations, mostly pretty rare at the moment, but at least one (D614G) seems to be outcompeting its original form. Another one (S943P) is found only in Belgium and is apparently spreading through recombination - i.e. coinfection with other strains in one host allowing different mutations to recombine into a single, fitter, virus. Concerning stuff, especially with a new virus. They may favour re-infectability, i.e. shortening the immunity after a first infection, so the disease becomes an annual event. Note that as of last week Belgium had the highest case fatality rate in the world, >15% :-(

https://www.cebm.net/covid-19/global-covid-19-case-fatality-rates/ - "In China, the CFR was higher in the early stages of the outbreak (17% for cases from 1 to 10 January) and reduced to 0.7% for patients with symptom onset after 1 February." So the first strain might have been really damaging to humans, and got outcompeted by one that was not as deadly but faster spreading (or just not as deadly, since killing people very fast is not a good way to spread widely).

Interesting, this is informative. Thank you.

17 percent to .7 percent then to .3 percent in california, idk man that is the backwards this plays in the michael crichton novel...

On the other hand it is chaotic, unpredictable, and if this is the key information, no one is saying it on tv, when this is what we need to be watching and making sure our statistics are correct, globally, or there will be no way to calculate any risk.

And idk about you, but if my own psyche is any indication, this "constant uncertainty all of the time" thing is getting old and we are going to start to see people less inclined to balance really start losing it. Plus the unemployment issue, and capital flow issue like rent strikes, and that is what makes me really think the people who are really in the know have a whole other thing going on that is going to either make that irrelevant, or use it to their advantage.

Because they are certainly not being forthcoming with relevant info like this and pushing agendas that nobody wants 24 7.

And this will be the same thing we hear from all the politicians, power players, etc. Who have been pushing this fear mongering for the last 5 weeks. "I vehemently disagreed with the good science 5 weeks ago and instead of taking a wait a see approach we decided to use fear mongering and break the world economy. BUT NOW it's become clear that because of X and Y and Z, I have now seen the light!" No one can just admit they were wrong, it always has to be that I was wrong BECAUSE of SOMETHING. Dude you got tricked by the media and you were wrong, don't try and back peddle now. You sound like a politician. The government lied to us again, what's new? What's new is some people got tricked by the public health side of things. It was just a new tactic by the government to gain more control. You have to know this by now my friend.
