Agreed. To be clear, I didn't support nor attack the OP.

I selected these comments because it's a high visibility post including socks' selective shilling - and I'm currently able to spend a little time on SaidIt, unlike much of the last several weeks and months. I realize I should have chosen a better post to battle on and aim to do better in the future. My triggered fingers got itchy and careless.

Most of that is not a problem for me. It's the prolific vast quantities of bad faith that rubs folks the wrong way, not just me but also others who publicly and privately support my objections.

No one has time to perpetually battle them, and that stuff gets tedious, not just for them and readers, but also for me. I do what I can, when I'm able, so that it's more like random waves that might erode or jar them loose to drift away from SaidIt. It's also a reminder to SaidIt users, new and old, to take socks with a grain of shill. If we can't get socks banned at least we can keep the bad faith turd on his back foot.

I'd rather err on the side of free speech, and counter them with quality debate rather than censorship.

Agreed, but not for timesuck sealions abusing our good faith patience. My generosity for socks expired a loooong time ago. Nothing he does is good.

Agreed and mostly. How would you feel about a polite revised "Public Service Announcement" to caution against believing socks? Feel free to draft one up for discussion and tweaking improvements towards a consensus knowing that I and maybe others may copypasta it around to label socks' content in lieu of metatags or other warnings. This may be an effective tack worth following.

I'm not letting socks off the hook as many of their posts here are also ad hominem, but in this case you've instigated it and it isn't productive.

If their posts are bothering you this much you should probably block them so you don't have to see them.

Some time ago, socks yielded and claimed to block me. Obviously this changed. socks doesn't affect me, but it does bother me that their endless bullshit will reach susceptible minds.
