I mean, on the one hand, he should have known that this was effectively suicide as far as his career went. Unless you're either prepared to live with the consequences or you've got a tidy sum of "fuck you" money ready to live on, you can't tell any sort truth like this, not on race or sexuality or gender or anything, really. The nanny-state progressives with their "words can kill" delusions won't allow it.

On the other hand, though, he's not entirely wrong. Outrage merchants, race grifters, and equality-obsessed progressives have done more to set race relations back in the last 10 years than any number of Klansmen or neo-Nazis have done in the last 100. And part of that was their first excusing and then empowering a surge in blatant black racism, initially with that whole handwaving bullshit about how blacks can be prejudiced but not racist because racism requires having power over others. Then it was encouraging segregation by another name in the form of black-only safe spaces (while simultaneously ensuring that black people were allowed to shamelessly take over anyone else's activities and center themselves in it).

Now you've got a sizable number of black people who are entirely comfortable letting their own racism show, knowing that they'll not only never get called on it, but applauded instead. And since you can't slap the taste out of their mouths for it, and they damned sure won't get themselves under control? Well, all you're left with is to cut ties and avoid them.

I think he realised it, and I don’t think he’s at any risk of being poor any time soon.

I’m just flabbergasted by the coverage of it. The way that the press is reporting disagreement with “It’s okay to be white” as anything other than racism is disgraceful.

It shows you the clear double standard in the media and online environment it's quite troubling. If you did a similar poll about do you agree with the statement "black lives matter" you'd get equal fuckery with the results conflating the difference between the political movement blm, and the simple statement itself with none of the political baggage.

I agree with him as far as, you shouldn't have anything to do with the racists that hate white people, but he's conflating that group with black people.

White people can also be racist against white people. Same way black people can be racist against black people. Anyone who actually cares about what color someone's skin is isn't someone you want to be around. They judge people based on some bullshit they can't control. They'll eventually find something wrong with you even if you are the same color as them.

"I would say, based on the current way things are going, the best advice I would give to white people is to get the hell away from black people… because there is no fixing this,"

Is he wrong? All this talk of DEI, but the folks who spout it are doing everything in their power to re-segregate society not unite it. They engage in the exact same behavior they accuse their opposition of doing; creating scapegoats. Isn't that what Hitler did with the Jews? Maybe we do need to go to our respective corners. If we can't behave as adults and treat each other with respect, why engage. I think it's already happening organically. We're in a sort of diaspora now. What normal person wants to live in any of the big, metropolitan areas? NYC, Chicago, Philly, San Fran, LA...you couldn't pay people to move to these places right now. And with remote work, it's not to hard to find a nice community that doesn't have all those issues where you can live quietly and actually be a part of it.

I live in a big city and work and interact with black people every day. And it's fine. If I were to try to "stay away" from them, I couldn't do my job. In real life, it isn't that hard just to get along with people.

It's not the people, it's the policies. We're forever trying to overcorrect in this country and usually end up in the ditch. I'm not saying it can't be done, but maybe neutral corners until we mature enough to mix.

Yep. If he said that white people need to stay away from the black racists I'd say he's on the nose, but they need to stay away from the white racists too.

Plenty of black people don't buy into this shit. Can't lump them in with the idiots. That's how you start a race war and you don't have the luxury of choosing your side in a full on race war, it's chosen for you like it or not.

I don't know if it would ever result in a full-on race war, but we're organically re-segregating anyway. More and more people who have the ability to work remotely are moving to red states and out of cities, especially ones with rampant crime. We talk a DEI game in politics, corporations and media, but in reality, we're moving apart. Not necessarily along racial lines, but definitely along safety lines.

I live in a quiet, diverse neighborhood; a DEI paradise if you will, but I know for a fact there are neighborhoods I would not be welcome in because I'm white. Not so sure it's as equally true if I were black. I think more white/mixed neighborhoods wouldn't even bat an eye.

I've come to the conclusion racial segregations should come back with a nice, woke spin: racialized safe spaces.

Non-POC will of course be restricted to their respective safe spaces to keep POC safe from being triggered by being forced to see or even interact with racist non-POC 🥺

Mixed Race People will be considered their Majority Parent's ethnicity, since diluting Minorities' culture is racist, colonizing, and appropriating 😤

The phrase is believed to have emerged in 2017 as a trolling campaign and has since been used by white supremacists.

citation needed.

reminds me when feminists got mad over "meninists" which was only really a meme where feminist rhetoric was gender swapped and kept saying that it was co-opted by evil incel misogynist types.

The ADL and SPLC were taken in by this and the OK sign, so much so that I fully believe that they make the claim that they are both in use by white supremacists in order to save face and nothing else.

Both organisations suffer from a Nazi supply issue, there’s just not enough to go around.

Doesn't work when the ADL/SPLC fully admit they were taken in, and have flat-out said it's use by white supremacists is "well, YES, we were taken in by a joke and they are not actually used by actual white supremacists... but have you considered, what if they DO??? "

It's a fundraising angle. White supremacists are fairly irrelevant in society and are a convenient Boogeyman.

There are plenty of Nazis to go around. They just happen to be the same leftists who keep calling anyone to the right of Marx a Nazi.

Search it. Was a /pol/ troll during the original BLM movement. Stick up a bunch of signs that say it around colleges sit back and watch the chaos.

"It's ok to be white" was satire, not a tRoLlInG CaMpAiGn.

It's not ok to be white.

Ok so you are saying it's better to be white?

Or let's put that as a poll question that can stir up shit.

"Is it better to be white in modern American society."

No matter how you answer I can spin you into a racist. The only winning move is not to play.
