In case anyone was still wondering which side Zuck is on. Someone should tell Zuck that the right to peacefully assemble is guaranteed by the 14th Amendment to the Constitution.

Someone should peaceably assemble in his ass.

Odd that Zionists are fronting both sides.

Maybe there are more than two sides. Gates, Fauci, Israel, WHO, China, and Soros are one side but what about the other side(s)? WHO is on first?

I think it's unipolar vs. multilateral, both competing in the 4th industrial revolution. From that standpoint, all the players take their place.

Every week there's a new thing they say they're going to be censoring. It might be easier for them to start making a list of things they won't be removing at this point.

the cartel of social media quasi-monopolies needs to asap be forced by law to allow all speech that is legal in whatever country a user is (i.e. forced to abide by the 1st Amendment, as far as the US goes) or be treated as publishers & not platforms, with all that would entail

[–]daikuji 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

then saidit will cease to serve a purpose

[–]QuiteKindlyChap 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

so?

[–]Drewski[S] 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (12 children)

Removing the protections for online platforms in Section 230 would be terrible for free speech. I'm right there with you in criticizing the tech monopolies and their censorship, but the solution is to stop using them, not giving the govt the authority to police the internet.

[–]QuiteKindlyChap 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (11 children)

forcing them to abide by free speech would not be terrible for free speech, lol

Private companies should not be forced to host content against their will. Even Saidit has rules, and certain things that are permitted under the First Amendment are not allowed to be posted here.

Second, and the initial point I was making, is that powers granted to the government are inevitably abused down the road. Giving them the authority to control platforms, even if it is ostensibly to "force them to abide by free speech" will almost certainly have negative consequences. We're talking about a government who openly engages in propaganda and manipulation, and you want to give them more power?

[–]QuiteKindlyChap 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (9 children)

yes, they should. and the government forcing monopolies to not do anything beyond what is legally-binding is a source of greater freedom, not greater control. why do you assume that organizations with track-records of unending bias & censorship are better just when/cause they're private? 😏 why do you think the state exists, if not to do stuff for the common good that cannot be done by anything else? lolbertarian spotted

Your faith in government is blind.

[–]QuiteKindlyChap 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (7 children)

it isn't at all, tho. we should force government to force this

[–]JasonCarswell 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (6 children)

All governments are as bent as a boomerang and will just as soon help you as hit you in the back of the head.

[–]QuiteKindlyChap 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (5 children)

there's zero difference between how the bulk of the gov & huge liberal corps like Facebook are bent - but at least the gov is somewhat under the influence of voters, around half of which oppose biglib censorship

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

Your rulers have been selected for you not elected.

The left-right paradigm is just a system of control, and if you can see that then you'll seem crazy to others who still believe the patriotic dogma.

Voting is a joke with over 40 ways to rig any election https://infogalactic.com/info/Truther#Voting_is_a_joke but the ultimate joke is both the left and right wings belong to the war hawk business party. No matter which direction, NorthWest or NorthEast, tacking between the two, we're always forced northward towards tyranny.

Your vote does not matter. Read about the Princeton study: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oligarchy#United_States

When is Trump going to drain the swamp? He's hired the swamp. And he hasn't locked her up, nor war criminal Obama nor Bush nor Clinton. It's a mafia state, not unique to the USA. ALL GOVERNMENTS OF THE WORLD ARE EVIL. So are all large corporations. They're in bed together, the corporatocracy of pedo oligarchs.

good, these ppl need to stay at home and not infect others

[–]JasonCarswell 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (7 children)

And be "good" brainwashed sheeple prepared to starve to death rather than risk an invisible threat to a minority?

Profoundly flawed logic.

what about the cheques? trump has to give us money so we can survive

Money printed with nothing backing it is no money at all, and eventually the bubble will pop. If the distribution channels are disrupted and there are food shortages, are you going to eat those fresh bills?

We need to revolt to not be contained in their manufactured prison, be free, and survive. Except everyone's brainwashed by the MSM propaganda they're forced to stay at home and watch.

first you have to prove that its a lie, not just believe it because you were told

[–]JasonCarswell 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Wrong.

Most people have been brainwashed to obey and trust "authority" and "experts".

The corporatocracy and their media perpetually lie and steal from us.

If you had a girlfriend or roommate like that you would have kicked them out right away.

Contrary to what you said, "first you have to prove that its a lie, not just believe it because you were told," I propose:

" First 'they' have to prove that it's all true, not just have us blindly believe it because they told us so. "

Typically, so far all we've got is a lot of intentional confusion. The more countering accounts and confusion, the more likely it's a deception psyop. When it's a fact it's clear. The reporters never confuse a baseball game score, yet they can't get any of these figures correct, meaning they're shit at their job or they're corrupt as fuck. I might subscribe to Hanlon's razor if the mistakes were 50/50 but they aren't and always err in their favour.

How come there's no "fun" button in here, u/JasonCarswell

[–]JasonCarswell 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

In November magnora7 changed the SaidIt design, including buttons side by side rather than up and down. Many of the banners don't work either. I could give you a grand list of lame excuses but ultimately it's all my fault, just letting it slide and I haven't yet updated the CSS. I actually recently started working on it before I got an infected jaw. I was hoping for some help from the admins too, but they seemed busy with COVID, etc. Maybe it's time to resume and finish it for good.

[–]FormosaOolong 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

Arrgh, infected jaw sounds terrible! Hope you are taking very good and gentle care of yourself. No worries on the button, I just wondered if it was a deliberate design thing. Or a No Fun Here kind of statement ;)

[–]JasonCarswell 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Some pain can be worked through. Some tooth, head, back, etc pain is so piercing it can't. But nothing is worse than the suffering and mental anguish caused by "anti"-depressants, etc. Fortunately, it was just a treatable infection rather than something requiring invasive surgery. It's almost gone now.

I bold statements, but this is not that. It's a lethargic statement.
