So we are just ignoring the group of paid trolls who consistently do whatever they can to disrupt the site, including posting mean and stupid content? Deliberately?

I can't believe anyone gets paid to troll saidit.

Maybe someone gets paid to run bots.

Yup, they sure do! It's pretty easy to pick them out, they're the ones that post mean and stupid content just to be disruptive. They also defend the power structure against criticism, something nobody would ever do without being paid.

I don't do power structure, that's a woke way of thinking.

Nobody would ever defend the US power elite without being paid to do it

I might make another website with rules like that, but to tighten the saidit rules to that degree at this point would appear reactive and would go against the original mission we've continued for 5 years

Not ignoring so much as can't do anything about it beyond what has already been done... I can remove accounts all day but they can just keep making new ones and after 5 years it's at a stalemate as they appear to have infinite time and interest in doing this. I am open to new ideas about how to deal with this if anyone has any

It's literally their job.

The whole idea is to grind us down and make us abandon what we're doing. Don't let the bastards win. A good step in the right direction would be the "block" function not letting the shills see any of your posts. This would really hurt them, and when they made new accounts, those get blocked too. It would go a long way towards locking them out of shitting on the quality content that Saidit treasures.

Agreed.

It's about fucking time to open it up. If it's not already way too late. We've been over all of this before.

This was ALWAYS going to be the problem that will always get worse. It would have been much better to have had a few years of experience under our collective belts on this.

Ethical FOTPACH management for a self-regulating community is the only solution I know of.

Fair, open, transparent, peaceful, accountable, consistent, honest.

Of course now my enthusiasm for SaidIt has gone to shit along with the admin-permitted forum sliding, and many others have already given up, so good luck with your mess and getting your ship right.
