A coordinated attack against SaidIt by some malicious entity. It includes the ironleft drama, maybe the weird Cher nonsense, and likely originated a long time ago.     Despite being one of the oldest accounts here (one of a handful of antiextreams.com users), I've spent most of recent years on free speech sites. So I can't say definitively that attacks on free speech here are the main reason saidit never gained users, but having to walk on eggshells when expressing oneself is generally not very popular.

    Can you clarify on what constitutes a call to violence? The US already has certain criteria that must be met for speech advocating for illegal activity to be illegal, and it's a much much higher bar than speech on here. So what is the bar exactly if not the Brandenburg test?

    If I say "kill all X" is that a call to violence even though it's not imminent, non-specific, and not actionable? What if I say something like "traitors should be hanged" or "you should shoot someone trespassing on your property"? What if I say "fight like hell" or "take to the streets"? What about in the context of satire or humor?

    These are all questions that need to be answered or the rules will remain ambiguous and prone to bias. I highly doubt you and magnora even have the same idea of what it is. That's a problem.

    I never banned anyone for supporting Hitler. I banned two people for repeated name-calling and advocating violence, and have since reversed both bans.

    I also banned the 'Americans' bot a gazillion times, but I don't think anyone's upset with that, lol.

    Consider that maybe, just maybe, I've been banned on Reddit for what seemed like zero reason at all and now I'm just cynical about how Reddit operates, have thought for more than five minutes about what might be wrong with it, tried to come up with a way to express those ideas and followed through by communicating them on a website that resembles Reddit.

    Not really sure what all this is about since I'm only an occasional user, but I fail to see where Bombadil even comes close to advocating for violence in the above comment
