This is a common tactic. Post awfulness, report to upstream provider, get website banned for violating TOS. Worked tons of times before. AHS perfected the technique.

It can be countered by careful moderation, but one thing I learned is just how lackadaisical and unmotivated a lot of moderators are. They don't want to actually be moderators with all the work that entails, they just want to be able to ban anyone they don't like.

Sure! I've moderated forums before. It's like being a janitor, you just clean up messes all the time.

Most people like being moderators so they can hurt people they don't like. Sad but true.

Exactly what I was thinking. I think it's AHS coming over here to carry out the same crap they got away with on Reddit.
