Many women have dated men - whether that's due to societal pressures or genuine attraction doesn't really matter.

Except it does. If you dated men due to societal pressures but weren't attracted to them sexually, then you're a lesbian. If you had genuine attraction, that's bisexuality. How hard is that for them to understand?

I'll never understand why it's so important to be a lesbian to so many non-lesbian people. It's just a word to classify women who are exclusively same-sex attracted. There is no "gatekeeping". You either are exclusively attracted to women or you aren't. This "you can identify as anything you want, reality be damned" shit is getting so old. I miss the days when words had meanings.

Few people are 100% anything

This is correct. There aren't a ton of lesbians out there. We have few numbers in the grand total of human population and we are only attracted to other women. Now there are a ton of people calling themselves lesbians who don't meet the criteria, and it's not only incorrect but disingenuous to say you're a part of a specific group while knowing you truly aren't.

The thing these people don't get is that even if most people aren't 100% anything, there are people who are. It's the same with the spectrum argument. There are clearly groups at the opposite ends of the spectrum even if it's only a few people. Everybody isn't sitting in the middle.

Previously men were joking about "I am loving women too, so I am lesbian-man", now they are saying the same, but dead-serious.

Previously LGB people were against the law, now it is "cool badge and rainbow flag to wear", so everyone is "queer" and "heterosexual lesbian".
