I know this thread is old but for almost the past year past few years I've found myself wanting to date women(biological women) more then I've wanted to date men but everytime I've put myself out there for women I've gotten men, transgender women or women I didn't feel comfortable carrying on a get to know conversation with. One woman had work done that was so bad that it was like looking at a Trisha paytas horror story, and a discord server complaining how these implants could literally save someone's life.(eye roll). To add to what you wrote: I think the issue with the sub, is that some people are going on there to take Poster A's position in a bad-faith manner, simply to sow division among the group-- perhaps even similarly to what happened to s/lesbians a while back...? That is my best current understanding of the situation.

To be honest, I'm suspicious of what went down and wonder if there's more to it. I feel that the recent influx of screenshots from Ovarit, accusing radfems of being racist and homophobic, was just plain weird. The whole thing felt strange, and I was surprised that the mod defended those posts. I may be way off, but I can't help but feel something odd happened behind the scenes - to completely lock the sub instead of giving it to other mods seems like an overreaction for sure.

Not a movie but Gentleman Jack is a period drama about Anne Lister who, as she was financially independent, was able to pursue her desire to find a wife. The second season is due pretty soon. I'm not sure if the series will eventually end with a happy ending or not. As it's a period drama based on really people who are dead. So I guess the tone of the ending depends on when in her life the series ends but it certainly doesn't fulfil a trope of impossible love.

You must have been feeling isolated, and tired of having to deal with this homophobic society alone, without having someone to lean on. Please know that there are more of us out there: women who care about their fellow women and wouldn't want to have anything to do with men and their penises. Speaking of toys, I must admit that I hate "dildos" and "strap-ons" with a passion, more so since the rise of "transgenderism", and "trans-identified" women, aka "trans men", boasting about their "strap-ons".

Instead of toys, the focus should be on the genitals of the same-sex. For women, fingers are enough to pinch the clitoral hood and tug up and down to please us. No toy is needed.

It's annoying that they try to shove us into "only top" or "only bottom" roles during lesbian activities as well. Gay activities allow for an exchange of pleasure. One receives and the other gives, yes. But they can change positions and the receiver can give back to the previous giver the same way she did, with the same attentiveness and equipment, something that can not exist in "straight" activities.

Let's just say that i'm an obsessive person and on certain topics I lose my mind such as this one...To me It's such a delicate thing to talk about. By the way i thought i was the only one feeling this way, really, but I'm very happy to see that I was indeed wrong! Women like you give me hope and let me know that i'm not alone in this. I swear that I have no problem in being a lesbian myself, i'm quite at peace with that. It's just that some other women make me feel insecure because of the way they talk about their supposed attraction. It's so weird, like how many girls in the community say to prefer sex toys to...you know...actual female genitals haha...But I never hear the same with straight people and it truly makes me feel weird, it makes me doubt the sincerity of their words. Or when they say that lesbians don't have sex this or that way, they are twisting my mind! I don't know who to trust anymore...I know that people lie most of the time but I wish they didn't when it comes to their sexualities. We already live in an extremely hostile world and they certainly don't help with their ambiguous statements.

The interactions I have with men are out of "necessity", such as interacting with male professors, taxi drivers, cashiers a the supermarket, and family members, all of which take place at a distance.

Anything more than "friendship" with males arouses revulsion and extreme discomfort.

I would never wish I were "into men". Gross.
