Yes, she's one of us. She had a longtime partner for 27 years. She didn't hide her partner. Just seems that she didn't feel the need to explain their relationship to the general public. Her sister Bear, who is also gay, explained why Sally kept her personal life private:

"In her inherent Norwegian reticence — in this and so many aspects of her personal life (wrestling with pancreatic cancer, for example) — she just didn't talk much (see Norwegian comment, and add to that the typical tight-lipped scientist thing). . . . If you read interviews from years and years back, you'll see that there was always a major frustration that she didn't comment much on 'how it feels to be the first American woman in space' — she just didn't think that way. She wanted to get the job done. Her personal feelings were just that: personal. Not right or wrong — simply Sally. Everyone who knows her well really got that about her.

(Source). This attitude reminds me of Miriam Ben Shalom. I relate to this attitude because I also like to keep my personal life separate from my professional life. I don't like to talk about work when I'm not at work and I don't like to talk about my personal life when I'm at work.

She has a lesbian face lol similar to Jodie Foster's wife (and Ellen DeGeneres' ex) Alexandra Hedison. Speaking of Jodie, my mom (61) is bi and said she knew Jodie (59) was a lesbian back in the 70s. She said it was her voice.

I don't give a fuck what anyone says... gay face and gay voice are real lol

I remember this being common knowledge before 2012. Still, very cool.
