Consider that people might also be misled on Ivermectin. There is decent literature support for Ivermectin, both direct and indirect (some of it is mixed, to be sure, the literature is not unanimous). Anecdotally I know several people whose covid symptoms improved considerably after taking Ivermectin. The problem with Ivermectin is that there is no real money to be made from it.

It wouldn't surprise me to find out the pharmaceutical companies that sponsor junk studies and bribe journalists to lie about trans issues also sponsor junk studies and bribe journalists to lie about Covid.

Sources...? Are you referring to this plagiarized paper that was not peer-reviewed?

Would rather not derail this thread, but also, I'm highly skeptical, lol.

Even with the Elgazzar paper removed, meta-analysis is still suggestive of a treatment effect. See the effects of other studies included in this meta-analysis:

FWIW, my mind is not made up on Ivermectin, except for deciding that the science around Ivermectin may have been intentionally obfuscated by powerful parties with clear conflicts of interest.

Thanks, I appreciate it. I am very on the lookout for bias, from both sides, lol. On the one hand, I'm skeptical of it, but on the other hand, seeing the blatant misinformation perpetuated by media outlets about the trans rights debate, particularly false claims about the hate crime rates for transwomen, has made me a lot more open to doubting stuff I hear on the news or from left-wing friends.
