This is probably true too. I knew a MtF who had a really nice voice before "coming out as trans". It wasn't masculine but had some soft bass to it.

After he turned MtF he became nearly impossible to hear on discord.

I was literally at the point of adjusting all audio settings on my entire PC just to try and hear this person but it was still just impossible sometimes because his whisper would go to nothing sometimes. I actually had all my audio settings turned up to 100% and then had all my other settings scaled down to like 10% in the volume mixer... Except discord which was at max 100% then I had this person cranked up another 200% inside discord because that was the max. Due to this I would need to manually turn EVERY SINGLE OTHER PERSON who joined a channel down to like 5-10%.

I dealt with this for months and no quantity of complaining would convince him to speak up. He would just move the microphone closer to his mouth and then somehow get quieter... Like literally no sounds come out just slight puffs of air then he got upset if you didn't hear something.

Finally I just asked if he was whispering to this point because he was afraid of his original voice sounding slightly male. He said yes then was clearly upset and then that's the last I heard from him so I got to turn my sounds back to normal.
