Isn't it funny how gay people never harassed trans people and told them they owe us for everything, which they sort of do? our entire "journey" has been confronting heterosexuals, teaching them, making appeals to their humanity. And what has the transexual "journey" been? Infiltrate, sabotage and attack by using homophobia to get into our institutions so that if we make any success, they make sure to tack on their bullshit into whatever bills we pass, like the "equality act" which was the very sum of 70 years of gay civil rights to finally enshrine sexual orientation as a protected identity...and in comes at the very last second, the transexuals to tack on their "gender identity" on to that bill and pretend they were with us all along lol

I have a massive issue with the narrative that trans people helped LGB people with their rights and therefore we should help them with every little demands they request (by force if needed) because we need to pay them back.

This has already been proved to be a lie time and time again.

Marsha P. Johnson wasn't even liked in the gay scene at the time, as video evidence posted on this very sub already proves.

He's just a tool used by TRAs to legitimize their colonization of LGB rights, that's all.

We did our part of the work too at some point, they pretend they're our heroes or something while... Obviously, if we read and believe them, it wasn't a charity act but more of an manipulative one.

As if the danger hairs would put themselves on jeopardy on order to fight actual opression.

They only started to pop up after the hard fights were already fought and won.

There's nothing brave about them.

Do you have a link to that?

Because the trans umbrella is so large, many non gender conforming lgb of past ages are shoved in the trans camp, to make it look like they were at the forefront of the movement. I wasn’t an activist but I don’t remember hearing about them back then.

It almost gets tiring repeating the history, but I came out and got involved in gay activism in 1988. At that point, I was at a big-name university, and I think it's safe to say that I never heard the word transgender during my entire college career. When we formed a campus Gay & Lesbian Association, no trans person showed up, and I don't think it occurred to any of us to include them. That's how off-the-radar they were at that point. I may have been vaguely aware that on rare occasion, people went to Europe for "sex change" operations, but I never thought that had anything to do with me.

Even after I got involved with the local gay community and went to bars, there were no trans people there. During the 1990s, I only met a couple of trans people who were involved in activism, compared to meeting hundreds or even thousands of gays and lesbians, so, frankly, I don't think I owe trans people anything. On the contrary, as far as I could tell, trans people attached themselves to the coattails of LGB activism and hung on because we were the only group around that showed them any sympathy. My sense is that the LGB have helped the T in a pretty one-way arrangement, and the thanks we get for it is to be harassed for it.

Remember when Silence of the Lambs was protested by lgbt groups, b/c they said it made transsexuals look bad?

I remember.

I also remember being confused, b/c the character WAS NOT a transsexual. He just thought he was.

Congrats btw, to any TRA and transsexuals reading this.

I can't stand you now.

I NEVER saw ANY of you fighting for gays and lesbians, ever.

I'm talking all the back to the 70s.

They did nothing and I owe them nothing. They can fuck off.

It's also morally objectionable to demand someone repay you for something that they never asked you to do.

Also, if they did everything for us, then why do they care if we leave? Shouldn't they be happy that the lazy homosexuals left so we were no longer such a burden on the big brave strong T?

If reason and logic had an impact on TRA's, there wouldn't be any.

How does it sound just and virtuous in their minds? They're narcissists. They deserve everything. Period. That's how they see it.

I've encountered people like this, used to have a friend like this actually, and it's often a really narcissistic way of viewing the world and relationships. Basically, everything to them is transactional. If they did a nice thing for you, and you think it's out of the goodness of their heart, think again. It's so they can say that you owe them.
