Absolutely. Indeed, this is even more of a parallel than it may at first appear, since these heterosexual women are so often pressured by their now-trans husband/boyfriend to themselves "come out" as... lesbian.

And just in case anyone thinks this is merely for consistency's sake-- because if her partner's supposed to be a woman now, it just follows that she can't be straight anymore, right?-- the fact that bisexual women (who already identified as such) are likewise pressured to declare themselves lesbian really gives the game away. Both in the sense that these men MUST "have" a woman who's exclusively same-sex-attracted to feed their "I'm-a-LAY-DEE" fetish... and that they presume that women are whatever men say we are.
