The trans movement wanted to make themselves the center of the gay rights movement so they could justify their position within the LGBT. So they inserted themselves into history.

Fact is, he was a gay drag queen(as he identified himself) and wasn't even at Stonewall until after the riot started(as he stated himself). Witnesses at Stonewall say it was a butch lesbian that started things(more lesbian erasure from the T).

Facts never matter to the Ts so they don't give a shit. They just use him as something to try to bludgeon LGB into submission.

I was thinking about this last night. The heterosexual trans folks don't know shit about LGB history/culture. They misgender gnc gay people as trans, but that's about it. They don't celebrate us because they aren't us.

Why don't they talk about Arnold Lowman aka Virginia Prince? He was a heterosexual crossdresser just like them... not a gnc gay man. Heterosexual crossdressers (typically white) weren't part of the ballroom scene (predominantly black and Latino)... they weren't in the cult classic Paris Is Burning... they weren't fans of the legendary singer Sylvester (who should've been as popular as Elton John, Boy George, etc).

Virginia Prince is someone I was thinking of too. I absolutely remember reading about him when I first looked up transgender history. He was instrumental in their movement. But I've never heard a modern TRA mention him.

The TQ+ have basically used Marsha P. Johnson as a template to create a character that has little to do with the real, historical person in order to use that as a weapon to rewrite LGB history to center it around TQ+ people.

It's really despicable in so many ways.

Edit: I actually had a conversation once with a former academic colleague of mine about Stonewall and how it started. He eventually conceded that I was right in the facts, but he said that he would continue to teach the transwoman throwing the first brick narrative because it "promoted inclusivity." That's one of the points at which I knew we were in trouble. They have no problem lying if they think it's for some greater good.

Wow. That's just... I don't know what to say.

I do not for the life of me understand the stranglehold trans ideology has on people who otherwise seem like rational, intelligent people. Why are they are so afraid of these people? Is it woke thought run amuck? This is revisionist history and is an insult to the actual gay and lesbian people who actually fought for our rights. The coddling of these people is outrageous and totally unjustified.

Funny how they think one American gave us our rights.

As if : 1/ it wasn't a global rebellion that gave us our rights 2/ the rest of the world doesn't exist

Who cares if Marsha threw the first brick or not. Who cares if he would have identified as trans were he born years later. Even if a black transwoman threw the first brick, so what? Hearing them repeat this mantra over and over is so tiresome when it is so meaningless in essence. Homosexual people gave themselves their rights. As a whole. As a movement.

So tired of this "the individual can change the world" mentality. No, as a single person, no one can do anything against systemic oppression. We will never stop needing each other.

Marsha's whole identity has gone through an overhaul too in order to comply with transgender ideology. It's gone from Marsha being a gay man and drag queen who used both male and female pronouns to Marsha being considered "transgender" but not knowing what that mean to just fully rewriting history and claiming she was a trans woman in the modern sense of the phrase.
