LGB ErasureLast groups on Reddit that still defend LGB people and acknowledge the homophobia of gender identity ideology?

I don't usually go on TumblrInAction but I saw this post with a lot of great comments defending the existence of same-sex attraction: https://archive.is/IqzEC

My question is, are there any other groups besides TumblrInAction where you are allowed to discuss the existence of same-sex attraction without getting banned?

Off the top of my head, I can think of:

  • TumblrInAction

  • AskGayBros

  • Reclassified

  • stupidpol (queer theory)

  • BlockedandReported (queer theory)

  • (edit: maybe?) SocialJusticeInAction (seems way more focused on American race-related issues)

As a straight guy, I’ve gone out with biological women who identified as non-binary. I’m not attracted to their “gender”, I respond romantically to the female sex

This right here. TRAs try to validate genders so much, yet they have no clear answer about non-binary people. Guess what, if an attractive woman identifies as non-binary, a straight guy will still find her attractive.

About Reddit... I think it's fine if people wanna stop using Reddit altogether, for any reason. But for those that wanna keep using the platform, I think that pro-LGB subs should keep existing, we should keep resisting.

We shouldn't be pushed out of all mainstream social platforms just for being homosexual. And sure, platforms can have their own rules. But they should be clear about those rules. What we see is double standards. LGB subs get banned for any small excuse while anti-LGB subs keep attacking us. And this isn't even just TRAs, there are plenty of subs for religion on Reddit where it's fine to spread homophobic ideas. There is nothing in Reddit's rules that forbids defending homosexuality, or forbids LGB-only subs.

Reddit just seems to be going downhill across the board. I'm visiting less and less, often just finding myself showing up out of morbid curiosity now. Many of my special interest people-centric subs have devolved into some sort of least common denominator. My thing-centric subs like aquariums and woodworking are thankfully going strong. Front page is all twitter screenshots, usual politics disguised in the form of humor. Maybe I'm just getting older and it's getting younger.

There was a thread on r/blackpeopletwitter featuring a "nonbinary" but extremely "feminine"/sexualized/whatever-you-know-what-i-mean woman, and the comments were unironically, verbatim, "guess what guys, if you're sexually attracted to them you're not straight ;)"

All because of a change in pronouns.

It's funny because non-binary people claim to be in gay/lesbian relationships all the time.

But of course, if you're only claiming titles in online communities, "straight" isn't as cool. It's the better of both worlds, you can claim to be on a gay/lesbian relationship on social media and get attention for it, while in real life you get all the social privileges for being on a normative straight relationship.

Sure, some homophobes say we're also in it for the attention, but in real life we risk facing real consequences for being homosexual. No straight guy would claim to be gay just for attention, and then go on having sex with men, and facing prejudice for being on a gay relationship.

It's a different thing with queer/non-binary/etc. though because you can keep living your straight life as usual while claiming to be something else just for attention.

I'm not sure of other groups that are like this. However, I must say, the archived link was both a nice change of pace and slightly infuriating.

One of the people who was arguing for the "trans women are women/ transmen are men" side said:

"Homosexuality: someone attracted to the same gender. Heterosexuality: someone attracted to the opposite gender. Gender=/= sex"

How on Earth is this person able to understand the difference between gender and sex yet, they can't possibly understand the existance of sexual attraction; even though both words literally end in "-sexuality" and not "-gender"? They have no respect for anyone's sexual orientation but, they want the world to respect their gender attraction (whatever that means). If they're so convinced that attraction to gender is more important than sexual attraction, then why don't they make up their own words? It shouldn't be hard for them; they've made up so many other words already. They can put in some effort to make up something that specifically describes "gender attraction". Is it really so hard to coin something like "homogenderality" and/or "heterogenderality" and leave the rest of us, and our sexual orientations, alone?

Well, THAT'S alarming. I guess the question is: how do they define "sex"? Apparently it's not the basis for sexual attraction, AND it's also not the same as gender, so... just what the hell is it, then? Or maybe I'm better off not knowing... :(

That's a good way to put it. I suspect they won't leave us, and especially our sexual orientations, alone because we're living proof that their beloved "genderism" is nonsense. Because what's the basis for being LGB in the first place? Biological sex. Our own + that of those to whom we're attracted. "Gender" has sweet fuck-all to do with it. And they just cannot STAND this. That's not how it's supposed to be! According to the rules they made up in their head! Why can't we just GET WITH THE PROGRAM??? So they keep hounding us to agree that this is how our sexuality works after all, oh yuppers, it's GENDER and nothing but! Don't know how that slipped our minds! Must've been having a collective senior moment LOL!

So it's not enough to have "gender attraction" as an alternative to "sexual attraction". They insist that it REPLACE sexual attraction. Become the way that humans are wired now... well, unless you're "trans", of course! (Cuz Muh DysphoriaTM ... somehow.)

I also wonder how much of this gender-crusade is due to all the (unacknowledged) fetishists in their ranks. Specifically the kind who fetishize a gender-role (most often the female one, which is where we get-- ugh-- "transbians") itself. So THEIR sexuality kind of does run on "gender"... in the same way that a foot-fetishist's runs (ahem) on feet. Maybe this makes them think that everyone's does? That we ALL confuse the phony symbols of biological sex with the real thing? Especially since, if they realized what was actually going on, it might make them feel... like big ol' creeps? And/or it's a case of misery loves company? (Due to the aformentioned creepiness, and perhaps the fact that gender-based desire is a theory which doesn't work any too well for THEM, either.)

But whatever is going on with the gender crowd, I just want 'em to keep their drivel to themselves.
