In an interesting move, a branch known as “LGB Alliance Ireland” was established in October 2020... as a British company operating out of London.[5] This has drawn a great deal of criticism, as the majority of Irish feminists are not anti trans, and many consider TERFism to be an imperialist, colonialist movement that is unwanted in Ireland.[6]

RationalWiki is the most delusional website out there. Worse than Wikipedia. “TERFISM is an imperialist, colonialist movement impose on the Irish". Guess what? Transgenderism is also an ideology that was imposed on us, the Irish. Until 2015 it was impossible to change your sex in Ireland until liberals from America, Canada, Britain, Belgium and Germany pressured us into passing this law against nature. Globalist corporations like Google and Facebook set up their EMEA headquarters in Ireland and use their presence to try to impose their ideology on our island and erode away Irish culture. I am proudly against transgender rights and I will not have a bunch of condescending, narcissistic, globalist neoliberals from San Francisco and Seattle destroy our country and pretend that it is for our own good.

But anyways, the institutions that push transgender ideology in America have a lot of power in America, so the US version of LGB Alliance will face greater challenges compared to other countries. Canada will probably be the only country that’s more entrenched in the ideology than America is.

Ireland seems determined to out-woke everyone else and you can't blame other countries for that, just look at the Nkencho fiasco from the past couple of days, plus the fact that you already had self-ID laws enabling the likes of Barbie Kardashian. Irish people need to take some responsibility and stop acting like everything that goes wrong is the fault of some nebulous external influence.

Right now it’s true, but it looks like this might be coming to an end. Fingers crossed. I’ve been reading up about the George Nkencho case and watching videos on the matter. A lot of Irish people aren’t falling for it. You have Nkencho supporters rioting on the streets and in shopping centres without any social distancing nor masks whatsoever, and the media says nothing about it, which leaves people wondering what is the point in locking down again for the third time. Rioters are randomly attacking people on the streets. The shop where the incident started got mobbed. Irish normies are beginning to realise that being woke does not benefit us. At least that’s what I’m hoping. We are still far behind other European countries, but we are waking up. People are saying that George Nkencho stabbed a shopkeeper just for being gay. I only have comments on YouTube to fall back on, so I cannot confirm this.

Having companies like Google, Facebook and Twitter setting their EMEA headquarters in Ireland is not helping. It is the fault of our politicians, whom we voted in, so we are to blame for this. But most Irish people don’t realise it yet.

Why is this?? I cannot wrap my head around it.

Haven't you noticed the laws being changed in Canada that turn almost strictly toward the TQ+ crowd?

Misidentifying can be criminal, just to start with.

[–]fuckupaddamsBisexual Terve 9 insightful - 1 fun9 insightful - 0 fun10 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Yes I have, but I want to understand why Canada is even worse than the US about this topic.

[–]SedateApe[S] 9 insightful - 1 fun9 insightful - 0 fun10 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Because the TRA agenda is being molded into their laws up there. That hasn't hit, nationally, yet.

In Canada if you misidentify someone and they think you did it in purpose it means possible hate speech. You can receive a fine and/or jail time for it..,in Canada.

It's not a law in the US so no fine or jail time.

That makes things worse in Canada worse the the US.

It's not federal law here yet because Congress is too goddamn dysfunctional to make it into law. It could be in a few days if, should they win Georgia.

It was the only link in 3 pages that was not trashing the Alliance as transphobic, that I found quickly.

I'm still interested in hearing where is it, outside the countries of the UK. Ireland and Scotland I believe had their own chapters.

The LGB Alliance is/was/hopefully will be what most of us have been waiting for. A return to the focus of issues specifically for gays, lesbians, and bisexuals.

I read stiff that a group was filing the necessary paperwork to bring this organization to life. Since the Wuhan Virus stuck I haven't heard anything more.

[–]ngblog 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Speaking for myself, I'm aware of those challenges. I don't believe whoever is running the account wants to put up a fight, preferring instead to debate bots and cartoon avatars and use them as a means to distance themselves from other controversial LGB Alliance members like Malcolm for example.

"LGB Alliance is a British anti-trans organisation.."

and "rational" wiki is a Wannabe Wikipedia Mutant that compensates for its longstanding inferiority complex by exceeding their level of disinformation and gaslighting. Quite an accomplishment.

[–]reluctant_commenter 10 insightful - 1 fun10 insightful - 0 fun11 insightful - 1 fun -  (15 children)

I've never put much stock in "RationalWiki" so this checks out.

[–]SedateApe[S] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (14 children)

I don't put much stock in ANYTHING that has a wiki in the title or sites that thinks wiki is the source of all things truth.

I did a Bing for "US LGB Alliance." The RaionalWiki was at the top of the first page. And the ONLY one on three pages that did not trash the LGB Alliance UK as a transphobic hate organization.

Had to take what I could. When I want to make any new posts it always wants a URL link. I only wanted to place a text post to ask my question.

The RaionalWiki was at the top of the first page. And the ONLY one on three pages that did not trash the LGB Alliance UK as a transphobic hate organization.

It does imply that the LGB Alliance is a hate group though, on the very first line:

LGB Alliance is a British anti-trans organisation

Also, you say:

When I want to make any new posts it always wants a URL link. I only wanted to place a text post to ask my question

The button to make a text post is right below the one to do a link post. I think people appreciate that you shared the "RationalWiki" link though, haha.

[–]SedateApe[S] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (6 children)

I didn't read more thenan the title. It wasn't spewing open hatred of all the others 😉

I'm glad some are finding....interest in that link. I might have to open it and get some laughing from it.

As we know the TRA have a HUGE internet group/organization/company(?) that has spent years rewriting everything they can find about the true gay history....and making it the true trans history 😱😱😱

I did read an article some months back that LGB Alliance UK had a section (group of folks) who were actively finding real articles/recordings/personal accounts that have not been touched by the TRA...so are accurate and true.

Not all of our history is pleasant. But it is ours.

Well, I would say it's a collection of organizations, and a few billionaires at the top of the chain who own media companies or have influence over them (e.g. the Pritzkers) and who also make money off of the transgender-related drugs and medical industry.

[–]SedateApe[S] 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

The rewriting and spreading of a false history was surprising when I first saw it happening about 5 to 8 years ago.

But what really startled me was how some shit is just removed! I've always heard "once something hits the internet it there for ever!"

There were several videos on YouTube that I used, never link, to refresh my memory when sharing gay history. I went looking for those, little over a year ago, again....and for many of them... they've been REMOVED!

This isn't about pushing a small group into the limelight. This is the complete destruction of the past and the truth!

[–]reluctant_commenter 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

But what really startled me was how some shit is just removed! I've always heard "once something hits the internet it there for ever!"

It is startling. I will say though, the people who say this tend to overinflate that statement, it takes a sort of brazen confidence to say, "I don't think this thing I like will ever be deleted!" Technically speaking it is probably saved somewhere... that is inaccessible. I've slowly grown into the habit of having multiple copies of things, and putting links into archive.is to save them.

[–]SedateApe[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

I'm just curious, and I think I know when it started in the gay lifestyle, that there should be fear that truth would ever come under attack.

I have my own copies of things I've found. Got them on a memory stick. Add to it as I find more.

I hope to turn this over to LGB Alliance US once it's officially formed and has the time to set up a history retrieval group. Most of what I have is probably what is easy to locate. But it can just be another source for that original part of gay history. And who knows, the more people do this same thing, it's possible something truly unique could be found!

As we've seen over the last two or three years truth is not safe anywhere. When a school is about to have its name changed because the person it's named after wasn't that much of a supporter of black people....and that school is named after Abraham Lincoln....we are in a shit world of hurt!

[–]reluctant_commenter 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

I'm just curious, and I think I know when it started in the gay lifestyle, that there should be fear that truth would ever come under attack.

Not sure if I believe that a "gay lifestyle" exists... Which truth are you talking about that people were afraid of?

[–]SedateApe[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

LOL...there is a gay lifestyle. There always has been! We see a small piece of society or a theme within an era and add our own flair to it. "The Roaring Twenties", Rehoboth Beach/Fire Island/Key West/San Francisco!, "Summer of Love/Flower Power/Sexual Revolution" of the '60s.

Here, in this sub we have a gay lifestyle on social media and you're participating in it.

The truth that not every moment in the history of the Gay Rights movement involved/included/or was begin by someone who was transgendered. That the first thing thrown at Stonewall was a punch, not a brick. That it was mostly thrown by a young gay man. And it was thrown at the encouragement of a bitch lesbian being arrested! These truths, to start with.

How about the more than a decade the loose grouping of "gays" was know as the LGB and not the LGBT from the very beginning!

And my favorite, that the T (when added in 1995) was always for transgendered people...when those of us who were around and part of the "gay lifestyle" then know for a fact it meant transvestites...who were gay men who cross dressed to work as street prostitutes. The T did not come to stand for transgender until around 2005.

Just a small list of truths being lost to deletion and rewriting of gay history.

Better than Chrome and Bing. You won’t be disappointed.

[–]SedateApe[S] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

So I try it a few times and no problem. Got stuff I'm looking for and no junk.... pretty good!

(This is where I become a buffoon 😉...)

I need to look something up. But its not working...can't get it to open. Getting site letting me know domain is available (there I go. Try something once and break it....again).?

{enter the Ape 🐒} Seems I'm never going to get into "duckduckgo" search engine....if I keep typing "dickdickgo" 😱

Sometimes the gay in me just pops out of nowhere 😀😀😀

Until the Wuhan Virus spread around the world I used to find posts and announcements about a branch of the LGB Alliance finally getting formed in the US.

Additional branches were also begining to organize in Canada, Germany, Australia, and New Zealand.

People in other countries like Mexico, Thailand, Japan, Brazil, France, Iceland, and Spain were hyped about starting their own.

Anyone me what happened? Where in the organizing they are? I visited their sub here and tried to ask. But I guess it's a closed sub...only for certain people to post. And no one has posted anything. Probably just a placeholder.

[–]reluctant_commenter 8 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 0 fun9 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

I visited their sub here and tried to ask.

No that's not a sub for LGB Alliance, that's a sub that the moderators of s/lgbdropthet made and meant to get running so that we could have a separate community space that's not about dropping the T. It just hasn't been finished yet.

Hey I also wanted to follow up with your other question: "Where are the other branches?"

Here's a list of them I found on LGB Alliance UK's twitter: https://mobile.twitter.com/ALLIANCELGB/status/1342248120453890050

Looks like there is interest in starting a French branch but it hasn't been done yet. https://mobile.twitter.com/ALLIANCELGB/status/1343459815419424775

Thank you for digging up this valuable information! The LGB people in different countries are just waiting for each branch to get going! I know I am!!!

And I glad you found something about an LGB Alliance forming in France! ♥

One day, when I am able to figure out how to place a new post that does not requires an URL link I will not have to use such sites.

I did a search and that was the only one in three pages that did not come directly out and call the LGB Alliance (UK) a transphobic hate organization.

And my search was for "US LGB Alliance."

[–]ngblog 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

Where are they indeed. It's a question I've been asking before and after it's launch and one that is in search of answer. Where are they? Perhaps the question ought to be who are they? I don't know. If you know, it would be great perhaps if one you were to contact me via email or text to let me know. The launch of LGB Alliance USA is one of 2020 biggest social media disasters. The USA group is so fucked up, it's not good enough to make mention on RationalWiki.

[–]reluctant_commenter 12 insightful - 1 fun12 insightful - 0 fun13 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Where are they indeed.

They are on twitter and got quoted in a BBC article that made trans rights activists flip out. Here's what LGB Alliance UK has been up to this year, they posted about it on their twitter account: https://mobile.twitter.com/ALLIANCELGB/status/1344724077811007489

If you know, it would be great perhaps if one you were to contact me via email or text to let me know.

You can go on their website and message them with your email, or DM them on twitter (account required).

The USA group is so fucked up, it's not good enough to make mention on RationalWiki.

Since when was RationalWiki the arbiter of anything? Lol. edit: also the LGB Alliance was started in the UK so it makes sense the article would be about them specifically...

I'm curious, what makes you so skeptical about LGB Alliance? There are many lesbian, gay and bisexual people in favor of dropping the T, including us here in this community.

[–]ngblog 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

The moment they announced themselves, they made it known right away they were a placebo, an organization managed by arrogant, gutless activists who fear guilt by association. FYI, this is what led to the downfall of DropTheT and LGBVoice, making themselves bait for trans extremists.

The UK overlords won't tell me who exactly is running the social media account. M Lynette Harstsell, who represented the USA group in a pay per view Zoom chat about the Equality Act wouldn't tell me either. According to her, accountability and transparency is abuse.

[–]reluctant_commenter 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

You got any sources or evidence that leads you to conclude this? Otherwise this is just a baseless generalization.

FYI, this is what led to the downfall of DropTheT and LGBVoice

Can you be a little more specific? I wasn't around for either of these subs, and I haven't heard of LGBVoice.
