In response to the article about gay men not dating trans 'men', WHYYYYYY do they always open with "alongside the high level of violence against trans people..." with a citation that disproves their point.

All this time I thought it was due to the structure of your brain which determines your "sexuality". For example, straight men are attracted to women so they're not going to be veiwing trans-women in the same way due to them being biologically male. I've seen very attractive looking trans-women but I have no intentions of being in a relationship with them because of their biological sex which I'm not attracted to. Anyway, I never would've guessed that I'm actually a bigot.

Or 2% of "straight men" are transmen, like it was in that sexuality poll, where 5% of lesbians said they will date and have sex with transwomen, and there were listed 70 lesbians, 5-6 of which were transwomen - so if 3 of them say "yes", it will be already 5%.

There's a paper around studying patterns of arousal in agp Transwomen and the men who chase them, it's the same.

More like, "UNsurprisingly, among the 127 participants open to dating a trans person, almost half selected a trans person of a sex congruent with their stated sexual orientation". Woo! Now THERE'S a shocker! Yeah, straight women and gay guys selected someone whose sex was male, straight men and lesbians selected someone whose sex was female... JUST LIKE YOU'D PREDICT. The only "surprise" here is that it was merely "almost half" instead of 100%!

How can this be seen as anything other than proof that sexual attraction is about one's sex, not "gender identity"? And how much longer do we have to pretend to live in genderists' third-rate fantasyland where it's the other way around?

Most of that other half were likely confused about whether the "wo/man" in trans wo/man referred to their biological sex or the sex they are trying to approximate. Additionally, most people who have only known a well-passing trans person or none at all are likely picturing the scenario of someone who perfectly passes as an attractive person of the sex they desire.
