Neovaginas are full of bacteria like ecoli because it's not a natural vagina that can clean itself. Trans-identified males who get the surgery get a lot of bacterial infections and utis after because of this. There have been lots of studies written about this very thing. You can get very sick from ingesting ecoli.

I also heard that trans identified males have to dilate their neovaginas daily so that these holes don’t heel themselves or become gangrenous. That is disgusting.

They don't become gangrenous - they heal shut because their MALE body treats it like a wound. Also it's not daily for the rest of their lives but they have to dilate at least once or twice a week 1-2 years after the surgery or the whole thing heals.

That's a big EW

Yeah: even aside from the effects of lining them with colon tissue (colon = where feces is stored), I'd imagine that there's also the whole inside-out aspect. That is, making what's supposed to be exterior (the penis's skin) interior... along with all the bacteria thereupon. So both things are now gonna be in conditions (moist, much warmer, completely dark, zero air circulation) that are the exact opposite of those to which they're suited. Now, I'm no medical expert, but THAT looks like it has all the makings of a hygiene (not to mention health) nightmare.

Yep I'm a medical expert and you are exactly right. Who wants resistant strep and staph in your mouth along with the aforementioned e coli, ugh yuck

Not to mention antibiotic resistance. I once read an article by a trans-identified female who said she had to be on 16 rounds of antibiotics after srs. That's enough to cause an antibiotic-resistant infection that can kill the person who gets it. You can also transfer your antibiotic resistance to another person, who transfers it to the next. It's so fucking dangerous. That alone is a reason why doctors shouldn't do these horrible surgeries.

For everyone doubting: this is not a lie. it's from a study. It also get's worse - these things smelled so bad that scientists mentioned it even tho it wasn't part of the study.

Although this was not a study criterion and therefore not scored, a foul smell of the vagina was observed in most patients.
