Does polyamory fall under the Q now? That doesn't make sense to me. It's not a uniquely gay thing.

The LGBTQ seems to put all fetishes and alternative lifestyles under queer, with the traditional meaning of strange I'm guessing?

They've added intersex there too, which has even less sense. And non-binary there too, people who are "I am straight, but I have few tatoo's and dyed my hair to green".

They have added black and brown colors to rainbow too, so people of color are part of LGBTQ+ in their minds too. Few more years and they will add just straight people there too. So LGBTQ+ will be synonymous to "humanity".

This is actually nothing new. I've had a few friends' husbands 'come out' as polyamorous over the last few years. But since cheating is now a part of the Q-wtf ever, my friends being uncomfortable with the situation made them 'bigoted'.

Maybe they used to be, but now that the definition of gender dysphoria has been broadened to include almost every feeling of discontent it really doesn't mean much. Truscum these days usually just means "I don't think emoji pronouns are uwu valid."

Remember when those old GPS systems used to say "recalibrating...recalibrating..." when you missed a turn?

Yeah, it seems everything has shifted dramatically again in the ~4 years or so when I really tried to understand transgender ideology and the community. Weirdly I never agreed with the unifying truscum tenet of needing dysphoria to be trans (like how I am going to know if any random trans person bothering everyone in the office has the requisite amount of dysphoria or not?), but I found them more likely to recognize their birth sex as a material reality, not insist they belong in anyone's dating pools, and not try to break down sex segregated spaces by brute force, though it was never a guarantee. If that has changed and I need to recalibrate, that's a shame.

Most of them support beliefs that have no basis in science. E.g. "I literally have a male brain in a female body, I was meant to be born male," "I am female and always have been, but I was assigned male at birth," and the belief that taking sex hormones to change fat distribution genuinely gives them a body of the opposite sex.

I took a look at r/truscum, and yeah, you're right. It's not the more logical, biology-recognizing people that I remember, and it does just genuinely read as "not like the ~other~ trans." I genuinely don't see any difference between this and any other trans sub except sometimes they complain about other trans people.

OMG, how dare they exclude straight trans men from lesbianism, and straight trans women from gay identities??? ... I mean, seriously. It's so obvious that these fuckers see sexuality as a fun personality trait with evolving rules rather than simply a descriptor of something that happens to be true about you. I'm a lesbian and I have lots in common with some lesbians and absolutely nothing else in common with others. Being gay isn't about listening to a certain kind of music or waving a flag, it is literally just a term to describe homosexuality lol.

Tbh I feel bad for truscum, gender dysphoria is a serious mental illness that they're just trying to cope with, and they get shunned by their own "community" for saying stuff like "transitioning because of a fetish is not valid" and "I know I am biologically male"
