Some people will have severe gender dysphoria from when they were toddlers but I don't understand how people can say that this isn't contagious in some cases. I was reading on a forum about a teacher who had 8 transmen (around 14 year olds) in her year group at school and how, after a few months of home schooling and being away from that social group... 7 of them had decided that they weren't trans after all.

I believe I read the same story. My last comment on GC before it got banned was

Trans is the new emo phase

The difference is that, while emos may cut themselves, the new trans phase brings in a lot of support for them to permanently scar themselves and permanently alter their body. An emo might have a few "friends" that encourage harmful behavior, but people who think they are trans have all of tumblr and half of reddit telling them to go out and have a professional remove some of their organs. This is a lot more dangerous than the emo fad, imo

And laws to back that up and to stop any possibility of avoiding the hurt.

Nailed it. Except former trans kids won’t get to make fun of their stupid teenage haircuts or wistfully play their Taking Back Sunday albums. In the best case scenario, they’ll have a bunch of mortifying photos. In the worst case, they’ll be infertile with a host of other health problems.

I thought the same but as I was still more of a transmed and thought being trans required excessive screening of a therapist (I had no idea about this gender clinic shit and trans-friendly therapists, who are basically forbidden to give a different diagnosis) so I thought of non-binary being the new emo...

What is transmed?

Trans people who believe they have a medical condition, aka "truscum". As opposed to the "everyone is valid uwu" crowd.

The opposite of tucutes. A person who thinks that in order to be trans you need gender dysphoria. A transmed recognizes being transgender as a medical condition as it should be.
