Some people will have severe gender dysphoria from when they were toddlers but I don't understand how people can say that this isn't contagious in some cases. I was reading on a forum about a teacher who had 8 transmen (around 14 year olds) in her year group at school and how, after a few months of home schooling and being away from that social group... 7 of them had decided that they weren't trans after all.

I think they are just not very bright and blindly following the leader. The same thread talked about how one of them declared themselves to be a gay trans man but refused to date another gay trans man because that would make her a lesbian, failing to see the hypocrisy.

The difference is that, while emos may cut themselves, the new trans phase brings in a lot of support for them to permanently scar themselves and permanently alter their body. An emo might have a few "friends" that encourage harmful behavior, but people who think they are trans have all of tumblr and half of reddit telling them to go out and have a professional remove some of their organs. This is a lot more dangerous than the emo fad, imo

Nailed it. Except former trans kids won’t get to make fun of their stupid teenage haircuts or wistfully play their Taking Back Sunday albums. In the best case scenario, they’ll have a bunch of mortifying photos. In the worst case, they’ll be infertile with a host of other health problems.

I thought the same but as I was still more of a transmed and thought being trans required excessive screening of a therapist (I had no idea about this gender clinic shit and trans-friendly therapists, who are basically forbidden to give a different diagnosis) so I thought of non-binary being the new emo...

However kids like this will never be talked about by the "almost nobody ever detransitions - it is less than 0.1% of 1% of the population- Stop mentioning them - they didn't medically transition so it they were never really trans anyway" crowd who will then turn around literally two seconds later and say "you don't need dysphoria or to physically transition to be trans - if you say you are trans then you are trans and nobody has the right to question it."

It's gone beyond irony to actually being straightforward. He sees other men acting just like him and role-playing as lesbians and thinks "wow this is just like me" because he's a guy who wants to role-play as a lesbian. Whereas actual lesbians visit AL and think "what fresh hellscape is this?"

I find the Transbian circle jerk on /r ActualLesbians and LesbianActually to be really funny. Like they truly don't understand that the more they fill a space, the more they drive lesbians away. At some point women are gonna get tired of their constant need for validation and sucking up all the oxygen in the room with their twans shit. They destroy the very spaces they most want access for their validation, but women will keep remaking their spaces away from them.

When they get done transing every single L/G/B subreddit, I've got an entire case of popcorn ready (don't zone out and randomly click on shit at 3 am on Amazon, kids) for when they start up the circular firing squad and start prosecuting each other for wrong think because they're stuck with each other.

I think it's possible they'll just become the main voices for any lesbian narrative in media. Like Contrapoints and his male partner, and his "coming out" as a lesbian.

I don't think they'd stop even if they were only around each other. It seems like women are an idea in their heads, so communities of only women are just as fantastical and up for grabs.

So what happened in the four years between??? Was this person actually diagnosed via a therapist or professional as being trans? I have met people who are trans and they lived the majority of their lives as the sex they were born, and had decades of therapy and a diagnosis long before they ever made the choice to take hormones or have any surgery at all. This is not happening with children or teens, or very young adults.

I also know girls and boys who I grew up with who when they were children imitated the opposite sex by putting on clothes for the opposite sex, boys putting on makeup or nail polish, or even said aloud how they wanted to be the opposite sex or wondered what it would be like to have the genitals and body of the opposite sex. None of these children, now adults are trans at all.

I met a,man in the early 1990s who called himself queer and a 'male lesbian' because he would cheat on his wife with multiple women some who were prostitutes. :(

Some people have real gender dysphoria and have the right to be respected for that , but some just Jump on the trans trend claiming high and low they are , but when the trend is over they suddenly are not trans , and that’s the problem really
