No. No kinks at pride. Pups, furries and all the rest of them should be excluded from pride until they learn that certain things need to be kept private and start acting like normal human beings in public. I have no respect for people who let their fetishes take over their entire lives. I don't want these people speaking for us, because fetishes don't help us win support and respect from the 95% heterosexual majority.

Do you think that a physical kink area should be 18+ are pride events?

No - 22%

Well... I think we can infer what their kink is.

Hard drive checks for those 22%....

Wow, that's awful. I think more spaces should be restricted to 18+ only. Hell, even social media.

It used to be called gay pride and it was clear what it was about. Now it is ''pride'' of what? Anyone knows?

We fought for decades to not be seen as a fetish or a threat to children. Now, these perverts want to drag us back. It’s infuriating.

It is like that picture that went viral of the very young blonde girl petting the 'puppies'. The 'queers' say "awww, the kid didn't know what it was about so it was just a bit of fun, no harm, no foul" but do you know how many times I've seen that image used by people who want to paint us all as perverts and threats? More times than I can count. It is one of the most frequent go-to images whenever an actual homophobe is about.

If I was there I'd have told her mother that it was an adult thing and to take her child somewhere else and I don't understand how anyone who is actually LGB wouldn't have seen that the incident could be used against the community at large.

I despise that photograph. I knew somebody who described it as wholesome because she "wasn't judging them". I don't talk with them anymore.

Conservatives hate us for our supposed sexual deviance, we've tried so hard for so long to prove that we're by and large normal people, and now leftists and kinksters are dragging us back down because they love our supposed sexual deviance and think it's fun and cool. I hate the sex positivity movement so much. We're being used and it's going to hurt not only us, but children and young adults

I think the quarantine boredom is getting to the people who organise these things. Even as someone who belongs to several of these groups I can't say I've ever felt distressed about not being included in some pride event. Who are these people who need public validation for every little interest/kink they have? Nobody gives a shit about what you're into unless you shove it down their throats.

How the fuck did kinksters "make positive change?" Dudes in pup play or rubber gimp suits didn't exactly give homosexuality a good reputation.

I saw somebody on twitter argue that, after transwomen (of course), kinksters were the leading force behind Pride and getting gay rights.

Now they're just making it unwelcoming for families. The point of pride is to be a friendly and safe place for people to be proud of who they are, not what disgusting tools and positions they use in the bedroom. Go to the Folsom street fair if you want to fist someone with a dog mask in public, but leave pride family friendly so that families can learn and become accepting of us and their children. If an indifferent parent found out that their child was gay and then saw this representation of us when researching the subject, they'd be a homophobe in an instant. This is horrible shit that will lead to nothing more than our destruction

Frankly I think they have a better claim at being included than a big part of the queer. People actually lose jobs and get ostracized when other people find out they post nude pictures online, for example. But no one is discriminating against that straight couple who call themselves queer.

"Some feel not all kinks are represented." Um, people are into some stuff sexually that most people would see as disgusting, distasteful, or deviant. Do we need parade floats for the diaper enthusiasts and those weird people who make frozen poop dildos?

As a hardcore kinkster: I regularly comment in online BDSM communities that I really think kink should be kept away from pride. Personally I don't want to see anything sexual unless I consent to it, and going to pride is not giving consent to seeing sexual things. There are children/teens going to pride events too.

Besides, there are plenty of kink events. People can go to munches and parties centered around kink. There is no need to involve this in pride.

Though I do have to mention that I've noticed a lot of negativity surrounding kink coming from the LGB community. Which does make me feel even more unwelcome in my own community. Like, why judge on what two consenting adults do in the privacy of their own bedrooms?

I hate all this crap. I am very involved in the actual BDSM scenes.

Consent is absolutely EVERYTHING. Respect towards others and consent to partake are absolutely non-negotiable. EVER.

Kinks are not sexual orientations first of all. And should be left at home or in private places with other consenting ADULTS only, EVER.

Straights and gays using others in their play without consent is wrong. Always.

Stop. Just fucking stop. Please.

Now I'm sure this is more like a clown parade, except now it's just sexual deviants (aka fetishists)
