I really hate how there seems to be no one in the arts which speak out against this, aside from J.K Rowling. I hate that the art culture promotes adoption of these so-called "progressive" views because art culture preaches "freedom of thought" but neglect to encourage "critically analyse thought". I hope we can abandon the "T". It was originally "LGB" and that acronym rolls off the tongue better. The acronym was originally meant to represent non-heteros regardless of their hobbies and their beliefs. If we are are to include every single category, let's start adding races to the acronym too, it's redundant, the acronym doesn't include nor exclude anyone.

Hell, that acronym is used to identify the group of people and a way to identify communities and identify movements (by giving them a name) to stop the oppression of LGB people and for others to communicate they're not heterosexual. So the need to "include" as much different minorities in the acronym is not even relevant and can detract the original focus of the issues. Anyone can fight for LGB rights, hetero or not. It's like fighting for animal rights, you don't need to create an alphabet acronym to represent every single non-human creature nor do you need to be one. I feel included regardless whether if I'm a homosexual or not.

Edit: Changed my comment a bit because I just realised I said something wrong and have created a horrible point about the LGB acronym.

I hope we can abandon the T. It was originally "LGB"

The idea was same-sex attracted, not "alternative lifestyle" and certainly not "sexual fetishist"!

Yes! That is a better wording. It's unfortunate that many do not know what it was meant to be about and remember the original acronym. I got into an argument with an American student (I'm an Australian student, he came to Australia as part of a university exchange student program) several years ago who was about three years younger than me and he told me it was originally LGBT and he asked another student and they agreed with him. I had a feeling that me being an early millenial and him being a later millenial probably had an impact on what we've witnessed. I remember the "T" never ever being included in movements until later on.

I've had a similar experience though I'm American and it happened in America. For context, I'm turning 30 this year so I think I'm considered in the middle of the millennial generation? Anyway, I got in an argument with this guy who was 6 or 7 years younger about the history of the StoneWall Riots and how he was saying that it was TIMs who started the riot. I was telling him that it was Lesbians and Drag Queens who did but I think the guy thinks that the Drag Queens were TIMs. And he did bring up Marsha P. Johnson and said he was a transwoman. I had video proof that he never claimed to be that and when I showed him a link to the video, he just switched it to this other person who did trans hmself back in I think 2010. I can't remember his name but at the time, he didn't call himself "trans" neither. It was the most annoying "debate" ever lol.

I kinda wanna get into the music industry, but how on earth under this fucking dictatorship?

I'm thinking of drawing jobseeker comics to unleash my long-time jobseeking frustration and to mock the jobseeking systems. Along with that, I also want to mock the gender delusion with my comics too.

I don't blame you. It seems like if you're gonna be in the arts, you have to believe this nonsensible bullshit. I can especially see how this would make it an uphill battle for musicians who don't buy into this nonsense because once it's none, the "gender cavalcade of cray" will zone in on you and try to make an example of you.

It reminds me of how vegans have made the Moose Cafe popular because they misunderstood one of their Facebook posts and they targeted the cafe for sounding anti-vegan, ironically that made them famous. I do wish I was in Ireland at the time, they were advertising $5 meat plates (to offend the vegans attacking them). Considering that there seems to be a tendency for people to behave so rabidly with their ideology and drawing attention to obscure businesses, maybe I can draw a string of funny comics and when I need to increase my views during periods of less views, I'll put in a very funny, truth telling gender ideology comic.

Edit: Wording

THANK YOU. I agree. The "T" has to be eliminated from the LGB. The "T" had nothing to do with sexuality. That's why the "LGB" was formed in the first place, it was to rally support, a place for gay individiuals to feel safe in, and a movement to begin fighting for our rights to be seen as human in a time where gays were considered subclass. And the reason the "B" is there because it's there for their same sex attraction because we all know the stigma towards bisexual people comes from the fact that they can be attracted to the same sex and that's what homophobic people zone in on.

The "T" is just hurting us. I speak with some people who admit that they are annoyed with "LGBT" and most of their annoyances come from the "T", it makes us look like raving loonatics and it's giving gay people ie. the LGB a bad name because we're now associated with the "T" and it's to a point where the "T" is starting to push their nonsense onto LGB people, especially with what's happening to the Lesbians. And then the "T" opened the floodgates for all kinds of other bullshittery. So enough is enough. I don't even call it the LGBT anymore, I just either say "Gay community" or "LGB" now.

People have invested too much belief-energy to change their minds about this that quickly.

[–]Omina_Sentenziosa 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

You are probably right, but I also think that the ones who are all gung ho about it are a very small minority. Most people who support this crap do it for woke points more than because they actually care, and they aren' t as hard to convince as the real acolytes. Since they do it because it' s trendy, all it would take is to swing the pendulum the other way. And I think that would happen either when enough celebrities have enough or when something really bad/public happens.

I really don't know what to expect. Sometimes it feels like progress is being made, there'll be a GC victory in the courts or some scandal involving TRAs will be exposed. Then at other times it all feels hopeless, people doing everything they can to raise the alarm and it just being silenced or ignored.

If I had to make a prediction then I think child medical transition will be on the way out by then, but other genderspecial nonsense will hang around for longer. At least in the UK, that seems to be the area of most success, with more and more medical organizations starting to distance themselves from it.

[–]Kai_Decadence 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Ah yes, "tErF iSlAnD" as they call it. Yeah no, America and all the other places in the world trying to go along with this nonsense have to follow the UK's example. I think you're right though that the "genderspechuls" are gonna be around for a good while. I was listening to this podcast about how "Pride" is coming up and the person was going on and on about how it's supposed to be about "Gay, Lesbian, bisexual, trans,, Agender, Non-Gender, Non-binary, GreyGender, Polygender, ETC..." It was horrible lol...

[–]TheOnyxGoddess 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

"Pride", should just be renamed "Shameless" (there's a difference) considering the lifestyle choices they're promoting. It's a pulic space, kids don't need to see weird displays of fetishes which are not exclusive to specific sexual orientations.

[–]Kai_Decadence 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I agree. What was supposed to be a simple WEEKEND of remembrance for GAY LIBERATION (Read GAY, Not "identity" crap) got hijacked by attention-whoring narcissists who have no personality and cling to "muhGENDER" to feel important or fetish/kinksters and that is not what Gay Pride was about at all.

The podcast I mentioned in my other comment, I watched them again yesterday and THEY DIDN'T EVEN KNOW WHAT PRIDE WAS ABOUT! They didn't know about the Stone Wall Riots or how Pride came to be. One of the cohosts googled it and informed them and they just did a simple glance acknowledgement and went back to the usual spheal of the gender bullshit. I was so done at that point lmao.

It will only go away if we all, women and men keep talking and keep pushing back. If we only lurk in the shadows keeping quiet, it will solve nothing and we will only see this crap pushed even more and the concept of woman i.e adult human female will be a thing of the past and I know we don't want to see that happen. However this...

That being said I have absolute respect to legitimate dysphoric individuals who actually put in them effort to look the sex they want to be addressed as. The role you perform as in society is your choice, especially if you have a real mental disorder that is lifelong and has no treatment or research.

This doesn't help the cause either. It doesn't matter if a man "puts effort" to look hyper feminine. Their dysphoria is coming from rigid gender roles or in this case, this expectation that men have to be masculine. The "true" trans (which doesn't exist) that you're referring to are usually HSTS (Homosexual Transsexual) men, effeminate gay men who delude themselves into thinking they're women because life as a gender nonconforming man is hard. I'm a gender nonconforming gay man myself, I know how these men feel, I'm living that reality of just accepting myself as I am and trying to roll with all the punches that doing that gets. But transing the gay away is not gonna help. That's why I don't give these men a pass even if they make themselves look hyper feminine because to do so would affirm that women are about being super feminine in appearance and devoting their life to being attractive to men and I cannot and will not) do that. The best help that one can give these men is acceptance for being GNC men. I'm not saying that you have to go out and "misgender" these men in public settings, I get that there's a time and place and I don't even do that myself in the sense of my job since I work with the public (I'm not paid for my beliefs). But outside of it, I continue to speak out. I know that acceptance of Gender nonconformity may not ever be a world-wide thing but if we can get it to the point where it's nothing but another kind of person in society like how masculine women somewhat are, it'll be a step in the right direction.

Because while I understand that these trans-identified males have existed even in the 1970s-1980s, I also observed that a lot of them were gay men and would keep to themselves. They also weren't so many of them so that's why when they did use women's facilities, it wasn't seen asa big deal back then because there were so few of them that were open and the ones who were open were usually out gay men while the AGPs kept their fetish behind closed doors. But it was inevitable that this takeover would happen when the AGPs started seeing how Trans-identified gay men were stepping out and trying to change womanhood only they (the AGPs) took it further and by vaster numbers since they're are more of them than there are of gays and that's how we got in the mess we're in now.

So all I'm saying is keep that in mind. You have to be critical of BOTH sides of the trans-identified males trying to erase what it means to be a woman, the HSTS and the AGP. Hopefully IF things go back to normal, then we can go back to just siding the occasional TIM just like it was in the 80s-90s-00s.

I just recently made a reply to someone who claimed a large part of GC hate gender non-conforming men, I hope they see your posts because I doubt majority or even many GC have that sentiment

I'll side with them on other things, but if it's going to be about gender identity, I'll never side with them ever again in light of the trans subject, because the entire trans thing is just about validating a delusion.

I don't get that sentiment at all because I've been in the Gender critical space since 2017 (back on Reddit before it closed) and no one made me feel inferior because I was a gender nonconforming man, people have been very accepting so it's just another one of those "big bad boogeyman" urban legend spread by TRAs on the impressionable youth.

I'll side with them on other things, but if it's going to be about gender identity, I'll never side with them ever again in light of the trans subject, because the entire trans thing is just about validating a delusion.

Oh what I meant was that just ignoring them and not getting too worked up because back then they weren't just staying in their lane. I agree though, I too will never side with them on the validity of "Gender Ideology" neither.

He said it shows in the sticky note of the peakening thread. The sticky note specifically talks about cross-dressers and not gnc males in general (as he claims). I'm surprised that the thread mentions something about cross/dressers being bad but I take it the mod don't like cross dressers and not majority of GC (please clarify to me, I'm curious).

It'll go away eventually, but the problem is when. It'll be a few years I think.....
