That's oddly fascinating that Femcels were a real thing. I was 100% convinced that it was a manufactured joke by male incels themselves. After all who else has that much free time on their hands? I got the impression the Incels aren't nearly as disgusting as they seem to think, at least in the looks department, they just want to have a hot girl for zero effort (which of course is unlikely to happen so they remain celibate). What were femcels stated reasons for being femcels?

Being too physically unattractive and/or too mentally ill to be in a loving relationship, or to even be a fuck buddy.

A famous "femcel" you may have heard of is Susan Boyle (Britain's Got Talent), although she finally got a boyfriend in her late 40s. Femcels are basically spinsters or "old hags" (in the past, women were considered hags by age 25 if they were unwanted/unmarried).

There are several fictional examples, such as Ms. Trunchbull (who may or may not be a lesbian character) in the movie "Matilda"... and Aunt Imogene in "Alice in Wonderland" who had an imaginary boyfriend (in the 2010 movie).
