Tbf, I saw another side of women when I met a "femcel" on Reddit in 2019. She told me about the femcel community (which is now banned, and they have their own forum). I didn't know so many women talked shit about themselves. At first, I thought they were men/incels pretending to be self-loathing female virgins... but I talked to enough of them privately to believe they were legit. It was not uncommon for them to say similar shit that "trans women" say. The woman I talked to for about a year called herself a "fat whore" after she told me she'd been a camgirl (before OnlyFans popped off in 2020).

I say that to say I see the parallels between these two groups (femcels and trans women) who talk shit about themselves because they don't feel good enough, valid, blah blah blah.

Also, the obsession with cosmetic surgeries is jarring (they want to look "fuckable")... very similar to the trans obsession with surgeries.

That's oddly fascinating that Femcels were a real thing. I was 100% convinced that it was a manufactured joke by male incels themselves. After all who else has that much free time on their hands? I got the impression the Incels aren't nearly as disgusting as they seem to think, at least in the looks department, they just want to have a hot girl for zero effort (which of course is unlikely to happen so they remain celibate). What were femcels stated reasons for being femcels?

Being too physically unattractive and/or too mentally ill to be in a loving relationship, or to even be a fuck buddy.

A famous "femcel" you may have heard of is Susan Boyle (Britain's Got Talent), although she finally got a boyfriend in her late 40s. Femcels are basically spinsters or "old hags" (in the past, women were considered hags by age 25 if they were unwanted/unmarried).

There are several fictional examples, such as Ms. Trunchbull (who may or may not be a lesbian character) in the movie "Matilda"... and Aunt Imogene in "Alice in Wonderland" who had an imaginary boyfriend (in the 2010 movie).

I'm one of the people who used to be on r/trufemcels back when it existed. I don't understand why it was banned. I still don't think it was fair, and it's one of the reasons I made a Saidit account. Femcels aren't like incels at all-- not violent, not hateful.

Femcels are just girls and women who are dealing with the true reality of being ugly or fat as a woman. As any feminist knows, the pressure on girls to be beautiful is enormous and it starts literally from day one. It's not the same for men as it is for women; men can overcome ugliness with status and money. Women cannot.

The TIF in the comments...."Damn now i need to find some masc insults lmao" and all they could collectively come up with was dick and fuckboy.

There are no insults for males that hold the same weight and hatred behind them.
