Who are some opponents of the bill?

Biology, natural law, the full 6,000 years of human history.

Savage.

Some of the commenters on Ovarit seemed to think that the Babylon Bee was being serious about the "6000 years of human history."

For non-Americans, that 6000 years comes from the claims of some US Christians that the Earth is only 6000 years old (or it might be that humans have only existed for 6000 years?) so the Babylon Bee is making a joke within a joke, and probably non-Americans don't get that the Babylon Bee is being super-extra snarky.

Yeah, they're playing on the somewhat self-deprecating trope of being a religious outlet, which makes it even funnier

Is the Babylon Bee religious? Everything I've read (not much) just seems super snarky, but so far I haven't gotten a religious undertone. The BB is hilarious though.

Yup yup its a Christian outlet, which makes it that much funnier that such a historically-uptight "identity" has turned the snark up to 11 to give the finger to progressive madness

Wow - and it's so funny. Yes, and very snarky. I don't associate devout Christians with snark, so it's a refreshing surprise.
