They think surgeries are like fast food and that surgeons just stand there lopping off one set of boobs after the next. I don't know what bugs me more about these people, the insane delusions or the overwhelming narcissism that they all seem to have.

They've been taught that they are the most un-privileged and oppressed bunch of people ever, and that they must be centered in all things. It doesn't surprise me at all that they have no sense of perspective.

If they don't give a rat's arse about FGM survivors, it follows they don't care about Cancer patients either.

Wow, did we hit peak stupidity yet? What Am I saying, for TIF, getting their breast removed is a question of life and death, not an elective surgery /s

Your 110% elective procedure is far less important than someone trying not to die of cancer. Shut the fuck up.

I hope in our lifetimes we get to the point where we can look back at this era of history and realize we played fast and loose with people's mental health. Lobbing off perfectly healthy body parts of people who have not been treated for deeper psychological disorders all on the altar of "inclusivity."

I think a problem with that would be, that these people needed to be willing to get psychological help. And I don't think they are.

Any person working in health care would be reportet for refusing to treat and validate their identity if they dared to suggest therapy. :( Affirm, Affirm, Affirm is the mantra.

For some yes but for most the delusion can only last so long before it comes crashing down. I suspect in about a decade a lot of those crying about how unfair it is having to wait will be crying about how we 'let them' make the wrong choice.

Sometimes I wonder if this is the modern version of what "psychiatric treatment" was a decade or so ago. People 10-20 years ago would drag their adolescent kids to the shrinks, drug them up beyond recognition, because they didn't like how they behaved. Unhappy people would also seek psychiatric meds hoping they would cure their emotional problems. Now "transitioning" has replaced what used to be psychiatric treatment.

Fuck this so much. My aunt had a mastectomy because of breast cancer. This is fucking insulting.

I knew a woman who was totally burdened by her enormous breasts. This woman was thin, always had a stoop, and was in her 60s. I figured she had horrific osteoporosis.

Then she had a breast reduction, and her back was suddenly ramrod straight. She seemed so much happier and healthier without all that extra weight on her chest-- I think it took her forever to get it approved by insurance, and she worked for a hospital.

And yes, tons of women get billed like crazy for implants after cancer related mastectomies, which I think is bullshit.

Like it isn't bad enough that they are talking like this about cancer patients, but this is also during a fucking global pandemic where healthcare is swamped and chronically understaffed due to doctors and nurses getting sick aswel.

They are wastes of oxygen.

I want insurance to cover a facelift for me, because I have "age dysphoria".

I also want insurance to cover iris laser lightening treatment, because my dark eyes give me "eye dysphoria".

I want insurance to cover my hair keratin treatments, because my kinky Irish hair gives me "hair texture dysphoria".
