I’ve read that bisexuals also have high rates of distress. (28% attempted suicide based on one Australian study) I think for this to be a solid argument we have to show that this is not the norm in comparison to any LGB. Because it’s easy for people to chalk this up to descrimination.

Can you provide a link?

Also, "high rates of distress" don't necessarily mean high rates of actual suicide attempts. Most of the so-called research on "attempted suicide" rates amongst the "LGBTQ" comes from people's unreliable self-reports in anonymous surveys. Lots of people claim they've attempted suicide when what they've actually done is had thoughts and desires for suicide, pressed on the accelerator for a moment, taken a few extra pills of some sort, engaged in "mild" cutting or similar measures.

Actual suicide stats don't indicate that bisexuals have high rates of suicide:

The Queensland Suicide Register holds records of all suicides in Queensland since 1990. All cases from 2000 to 2009 (inclusive; a total of 5,966 cases) were checked for potential indicators of individuals' sexual orientation and gender identification. A total of 35 lesbian (n = 10), gay (n = 22), bisexual (n = 2), and transgender (n = 1) suicide cases were identified.

I heard about it initially on the BisexualRealTalk channel on YouTube. Here is the study he referenced https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1080/15299716.2015.1111183?journalCode=wjbi20

Huh? That link is to an abstract of a paper that says, in entirety:

Bisexual people experience monosexism, the privileging of sexual attraction to one sex or gender, from heterosexual, gay, and lesbian communities. The current study of 745 bisexual-identified participants explored their experiences of monosexism with heterosexual family members, heterosexual friends, gay family members, and gay friends. Results indicated that bisexual individuals reported significantly more discrimination from the heterosexual community in comparison to the gay or lesbian community, although the effect size was small. Acceptance of bisexuality from family and acceptance of bisexuality from friends were negative predictors of antibisexual discrimination. Clinical and research implications are discussed.

The abstract mentions neither "distress" nor "attempted suicide" amongst bisexual people. In your post that I challenged, you said bisexuals have "high rates of distress" and claimed that "an Australian study" showed that 28% of bisexual people have attempted suicide.

As a mostly het but occasionally same-sex attracted person, I have no doubt that bisexual people experience discrimination and exclusion. But we shouldn't conclude from this fact that as a result bi people suffer "high rates of distress" and attempt suicide at unusual rates (28%).

Yeah to be honest that confused me as well when I looked at the abstract. But here I think I found the real one: https://www1.racgp.org.au/ajgp/2019/march/bisexual-mental-health
