Do you remember how many young women came to r/gendercritical precisely because they'd been hanging out w TiMs and got freaked out?

So, in a sense, trans maidens are the opposite of f*g hags, in that gays and their hags were often extremely close and got closer as they got to know each other, whereas TiMs and the young women who defend them (the trans maidens) often grow farther apart as they get to know each other.

That explains some things. A straight woman online friend I know, close to my age, is crazy about drag queens, but told me she was repulsed by "trans women." For myself, as a lesbian, I struggle to make sense out of being either a "f*g hag" or a "trans maiden." I can't see what women see in either.

I think back when many men were Male Chauvinist Pigs, women made friends with sympathetic gay men because they were men, but men who wouldn't hit on women and also many gay men shared a lot of interests with women.

And also, a lot of gay men used to be very funny. I don't see it as much any more. Maybe it had something to do with them being persecuted back then but now they're on top of the pile so don't have to use humor as a defense?
